EcoTools and Real Techniques brushes are definitely on my top of best brushes ever. In fact all the random brand brushes that I am using are some that I love. You can say that I have a lot of brushes, that will be an understatement, but I also know that there are a lot out there that I've yet to try. So for this year, the recognition will have to go to Sigma's Mr Bunny Essential Brush Kit because it is the most expensive set I have at the moment. Pictured is the comparison between the full set and travel set. I bought the travel set last year.
Sorry for the glaring pic. Anyway the set is much bigger and it actually comes in an oval case as compare to the round container of the travel kit. It is also much taller. Honestly I prefer the travel kit. The round container is so much easier to put in the brushes. Plus most of my brushes are not so long, that they fit and blend with the travel kit better.
For now, the oval case will hide some of my brushes will barely peep through. So I only choose all the tall brushes to store in it, which kind of defeat the purpose. But luckily I have way too much brushes to actually fit into the 2 halves.
So these are all the brushes, 12 pieces (7 pieces for travel kit) for face and eyes.
I love the F40 large angled contour the most, which the travel kit also has. So on one hand this kit just has some extra brushes which you may not really need. I think it is still best to get individual brushes to suit your need or get those more professional ones that target certain feature. But on the other hand, it is just nice to have a set and not worry about it. I guess it is a good set for beginners or anyone who is fuss free.
I bought mine from Luxola. I usually will wait for their sale. I cant remember how much I bought it for, but as for now it cost $209. US is selling for US$178. Plus buying from Sigma's website, they will incur international shipping cost. So buying from Luxola is still better. It seems to me the prices kept increasing, so better get it while it's still affordable. Of course brushes such as EcoTools and RT are a better value for money which I personally feel is better overall. But there is just something about having a full set that cant be compared.
Even though I tell myself not to get anymore Sigma's brushes, and I do know some people already started to boycott them, I still want to try them. I want to own all of them. I want to try their natural bristle brushes. Am I weird for wanting to collect brushes?
Anyway, buy this on sale, it will be quite a good bargain, if you want a mid-range atas brand.

•E05 - Eye Liner: Create smooth and even lines. Use with gel or liquid liners.
•E30 - Pencil: Soften and smoke out lines. Soften pencil liners along the top and bottom lash lines, add shadow to line the eyes, or use to highlight inner corner of eyes.
•E40 - Tapered Blending: Soft blended crease. Using just the tips to apply color, sweep back and forth through the crease for a diffused and blended finish.
•E55 - Eye Shading: Even application of color. Place color across the whole lid for an even and strong application of product.
•E60 - Large Shader: Uniformly cover the whole lid with product. Apply cream shadow base or cream shadow for quick and even coverage.
•E65 - Small Angle: Create precise lining. Moves fluidly and easily across the upper and lower lash lines. Use with gel, cream or powder liners.
•E70 - Medium Angled Shading: Soft application of color. Use for brow highlighting or to blend the crease.
•F30 - Large Powder: Even powder application. Uniform blending of powder products onto the face and body.
•F40 - Large Angled Contour: Subtle cheek application. Use the angle to softly contour the cheekbone. Can also be used to apply blush.
•F50 - Duo Fibre: Creates an airbrush effect onto the skin. Can be used with powder, liquid or cream products.
•F60 - Foundation: Smooth foundation application. Apply liquid or cream products such as foundation and primer.
•F70 - Concealer: Conceal small areas. Conceal the hardest to reach areas such as around the nose and eyes.
