Jelly Pot - M04 Biscotti

A bit regret getting this shade. I think this is more of the matte shade. The shimmery ones are so much more even and pigmented. I tried it in the store when it didn't dry out. But I wanted something a bit more wearable day to day. Biscotti is a peachy nude shade. It's actually quite nice when it can be even on the lid. The colour is kind of patchy.  I do like the texture. The formula is quite gel like but with this shade, it seems like it will dissappear any moment. Which it sort of did cause the colour is really close to skin tone.  This will set quite fast. So it's advisable to do one side at a time. Once it set, it won't budge. Which is really good. But Biscotti is a bit hard to see. At the end of the day, I can see the slight peachy tone on my lid. But that's about it. So in the end, I think it will be better to get other darker shades.

MUFE HD Concealer

It's hard trying to find my shade. I finally decide on shade 330. It's not an exact match, but it works. It's slightly brightening. Cause the colour is more yellow tone. It's a thick concealer, that takes awhile to warm up. Once it's warm, it blends easily. It's a medium coverage. Doesn't really covers as well as I hope it will, but it's alright.  I bought this cause of the pacakaging. I actually like the packaging. It's a rubber tip, and you have to twist the bottom for the product to dispense. In theory, it's a good idea. But reality? The product always jam. It doesn't dispense until I bend the rubber tip forward. By then, a lot of product has build up and a lot will flow out.  So it's a regret buying this. The concealer itself is alright, but I buy this cause of the pacakaging. This is more expensive and is only 1.5ml. They do not have this anymore. They have change he pacakieyinh into the skinny tube. Haven't try that, so I don...

What's In My Shower

They say that 80% of people in Singapore stay in HDB (public housing). My mom's house is under the old layout which only has 1 bathroom. Basically it is 2. One for shower, the other is the toilet. There are 5 of us trying to use the shower daily. Thankfully, we have different schedule, so we never have to fight for the shower. We also have 4 "shelf" area where we put the shampoo and soap on. And 1 shelf is specially for me. While the rest sort of share shower gel and shampoo, I tend to have my own. The rest of the shelves consist of 1) shampoo (general, bro, sis), shower gel, 2) facial wash (mom, sis, bro), eczema soap, conditioner and 3) shower cap, mini toiletries, etc. When it comes to my shelf, I have 9 item squeeze into the tiny space. Plus the conditioner which I usually share with my sis therefore it wont be on my shelf. Here are the item I am using at the moment. 1.Shampoo I am in between shampoos. I am usually either using Avalon Organics thickening shampoo  or  ...

Sigma Kabuki Brushes

There was the choice of getting the 4 set or the 5. The fifth brush was the flag angle kabuki. I have about these brushes for about 4 years plus now. And they are well loved. Some more than others. F80 Flat Kabuki is my fav. I've used it the most until I can't get rid of the foundation stain. I abuse it quite thoroughly, but it still manage to keep it shape. It's soft and fluffy. Very dense, but airy. It's just more flexible than the rest. While I can use my fingers to make it out of shape, it can also be fix easily.  F82 Round Kabuki is a rounded top brush. Similar to F80, but it's just slightly more dense. Cause this one is not able to spread out as much. I like it, but I tend to grab the F80 more, cause I already stain it.  F84 Angled Kabuki as the name suggest is basically the angles version of the F82. It is thinner, not as round. But I can fan it out also. I can use this for contouring. Or even as a blush brush when the pigment is quite light.  F84 Tampered Ka...

Vivo Matte Lipsticks

I love looking through my folders and finding things like this I've yet noted. So these are suppose to be the matte version. The packaging has the matte feel, but the lipstick is totally not. I got one in Naturally Nude which is surprisingly alright on me. It is real pretty over a pink/red lipliner.  Wow Pink is a real Barbie pink. Very magenta blue tone pink. I look so fake using this.  As you can see the lipsticks are not that good. It shows every dryness there is. It also feels quite cheap. It won't last long and I'll say this is the kind of lipsticks you'll give to 5 years old to play with. It's a pity though cause it swatched real nice.

First Impression: My Beauty Diary Black Mask

It's just very cool having a mask that is black. This also covers the neck. So it's quite nice. It also seems to be on a smaller side so it quite fit my face. But I feel like it's not even.  I like that it's moisturising. Once I remove this, my face feels quite sticky. And in the morning, I am left with a few extra spots. So it should be coming from this. Such a pity. I don't dare to use a second time.

FOB Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Eye Cream

I have no opinion on this cream. It doesn't help with puffiness or dark undereye. Then again it doesn't claim that it will. All I know is that this give me the moisture my skin need. Which is not something I really need. But I guess this is nice cause it's a nozzle. So it will not disperse a lot of product.

Kay Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick - Lolita

There's a few shades I want to try, but cause I'm not sure if I will like the consistency of this, I just want to try the original. I was thinking of getting Lolita 2 also, but Lolita is still the original.  The pigmentation is awesome. It goes on shiny and will turn matte after a short while. The shade is just gorgeous. It's a darker mauve on my lips. Slightly on the brown side. It last forever. But it transfer easily though. I was hoping that this will stay put on the lips. So it will leave a mark on the straw or the cup. But nonetheless, it's just so comfortable on the lips. You always forget you have something on your lips.  I would have love it a whole more if it doesn't transfer. But yes, get this. It's so worth the money. I love it.

Jurlique Balancing Day Care Cream

If you take SQ business class to Australia, this is one of the things that you will get in your little kit. Anyway, I do like this. It's surprisingly quite light. I can use this comfortably. Doesn't cause my face to go crazy. It's oily after awhile, but not as bad. I do like it. Not enough to buy the full size, but it's a really nice lil sample.

erborian Lip Balm

This is a tiny size pot that is hard to dip my fingers in. It will be better for people without nails. Anyway, it is quite solid, but also very oily. So once you touch it, it sort of melt under the warm of your fingers.  Its oiliness allow it to smooth over the lips really nicely. So it's quite "shiny" which is not something most people who do not like makeup will like. I find it quite comfortable on the lips. Moisturising. I just don't really like the scent. It has a bit of weirdness to it. But it's quite faint.  So I just don't like the little pot. But it's quite ok.

Bio-Essence Emu Oil

I have the cream, and someone bought me the spray. This is suppose to be easier to apply. But I was wrong. The spray is too sparse, so you'll be left with lots of oil splatter on the bed sheet. Well, I mean if you happen to spray them over the bed. So really the best way to use this is to spray closely onto the hands then spread it over your legs, arms, etc. you have to really fun it in, cause this oil is really moisturising. Once it sets though, you won't feel a thing. That's the only thing nice about this.  Using cream, you have to keep smoothing it until it sinks into the skin, this is slightly faster. Cause it's a clear oil, you can't really see the white cream. So it's more forgiving. Plus I find that instead of spraying too much, I have to spray a few more. So ya, I mean it's a nice gift if you are from Australia giving it to those who are not. But it is oil in a plastic bottle, there may be a chance that it will spill. So just be careful.

Lavin Me

Alber Elbaz says: "Lanvin Me is more than a fragrance. Its composition tells a story expresses in each separate shade. It resembles a partiture of feelings and emotions of a moment, like a fascinating melody of senses." Top notes of Lanvin Me introduce delicate floral notes supported and sweetened by fruity zest of blueberry combined with liquorice in the heart. Seductive hues are offered by intense tuberose complementing sweet-fruity passions rounded on the fascinating base. This is quite a strong perfume. I remembered I use to quite like it, but now not so much. It's just one of those perfume that you spray and leave the house. And you won't have the thoughts of oh I smell nice. So it's not that good in my book. It's not so overpowering unless you take a sniff. So ya. Neutral.

Kylie Lip Kit - Maliboo

Thank you sis for the birthday present. She doesn't know what shade to get me, so just randomly choose one shade. Base on the photos I took, it doesn't look as nice. But it can also tell you that if you have dry lips, this is a no for you.  Anyway, when swatched, this looks really nice. A light brown with a mauve undertone. It's also quite shiny, as you can see, the pic shows when it is turning from shiny to a matte finish. I quite like the lipliner, it's smooth, but I find that it doesn't set as well on the lips as it does swatched. By the colour is nice. It suits me well. A good neutral shade for my lips. You have to sharpen the pencil which is the "plastic" kind. It's not too bad.  The liquid lipstick is a bit too light on my lips. With or without the liner underneath, it's just not a really good shade for me. It applies nicely - smooth, easy. The wand which is a foot doe applicator has a tiny indent so it nicely hug the shape of the lips. It wi...

Agent Zero Shine

I have mix feelings about this. For the most part, I like it. Let's talk about the packaging first. It is quite small and about 10cm long, so it's quite handy and easy to toss into the bag. I like that the powder dispenser can be turned to close and open. The bottom can be unscrew and you will get a brush that can be slightly more fine. The brush has a side plastic thing that will have to be push down to let the bristle free. Then you will pull up to tuck the bristle in to secure the brush back to bottom of packaging. The thing is that plastic is quite short. So I still have a hard time screwing the brush back in. The powder is a nude shade. A bit on the lighter shade. I guess it is suppose to be transparent anyway. But it is not bad. It is mattifying. But this is one powder that is good for touch up. It is not long lasting, so using this as a setting powder will not work as well. I usually use this when I come home from work and I will have to go out dinner. So I just pour a b...

Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil - Hazel

This is a very waxy brow pencil. It's smooth and easy to glide across the brows. The problem I have with this is that it's not good on sparse brows. I have a lil area that in need of coverage and this can't give me that. I kept going over it, but it just seems to skip over. It doesn't stick. So this is only good for people who just need to keep their brows in place with a bit of colour.  Anyway the shade is in 002 hazel which is a brownish taupe. More brown I would say. The colour is fine on me. The packaging has a nice tiny comb. This is good to have. But the quality of the brush is too thin. So it doesn't brush nicely. It should be good for precise brushing. But to blend the colour to your brows as what I always use kind of thing for, it's not that good.

Ck Creme Lipstick in Delightful

I still not a fan of the packaging. It feels really cheap. It's just a black plastic lipstick. Very light too. So it's really doesn't worth the price of $30.  This shade is a Barbie pink with a blue undertone. It's one shade before neon. But on my lips, it's very bright. It's pigmented, but you have to have a really smooth lips. If not, all the crack and dryness can be seen very obviously. But if your lips are not dry, it's actually quite good. It will also slightly stain the lips. Not stain, but there will be a light residue left behind. So your lips wil be slightly colored.  But I wouldn't recommend this. It's too expensive and you can get so much better lipstick at a better price.

Lights, Camera, Flashes

I don't really get the 2 steps process of this mascara. I don't see much different between the wand. I guess one side is more sense than the other. But the packaging have the "1" and "2" written on it. Anyway, the first impression of this is not good. It's quite wet, gives me clump lashes and smudges badly. Then after that, the formula is less wet. It is not dry, but I feel it's quite good.  My lashes are too short to be able to really use both sides of the wand. So I don't see how it really help me to volumise my lash. Cause by reading online, it teaches you to first apply the short bristles side for volume. Then turn it 180 degree to comb through the lashes with the longer firmer side. You are suppose to tap the wand on the top of the tube to feel the difference between the bristles.  What I can say is that this mascara is nice for daily. It is not so dramatic, but it coats the lashes well. And the best part about this is that it will help you ...

Gerard Cosmetics Star Powder

Marilyn is such a pretty golden shade. It's shimmery. It's light. It's very subtle. Very pretty on the cheeks. It will give a very nice sheen. It's pigmented, soft but not crumbly. It reminds me of Mary-Lou Manizer, but theBalm is so much more pigmented. Only when you sheer it out, then the shade is quite similar in the dark. But Marilyn is much more deeper gold. Mary-Lou is very smooth to the touch unlike this. So this is better for people who don't really want so much highlight.  The case is a mirror reflection golden plastic. Looks cool from afar but when you hold it, it's actually quite sturdy. For a plastic, it's not bad. I also like that it has a clear plastic cover that seperate the pigments from the mirror. The compact itself is a good size, so it's good to use.  Really nothing much to say.

Makeup Revolution Redemption Iconic 3 Palette

I got this ages ago. Basically to compare the difference between this and MUA palette. But this is the dupe for Naked 3. I don't have Naked 3 so I can't compare them. But I'm loving the shades enough as they are very rosey and golden. It's a good combination of matte and shimmer shade. A good balance of warm and cool tone. The shadows are pigmented, and not much fallouts.  Now I'm not a big fan of the layout of shadows. It's long and narrow and I find that it's so hard to use your finger to get the shadow. It's hard to tell if the shadows are soft or smooth. But really for £4, I don't have the right to complaint.  So in term of the way the shadows are layout, I still prefer MUA. But I find that MUR are a bit more "clean". Like after using, the shadows are all still in tact. Unlike MUA palette, where I found that the shadows after you use them, will not be as even on the pan. I don't know how describe it, but MUR is slightly better. I wi...

ELF Complexion Brush

US$3 Good size brush Fluffy Soft Slightly dome Doesn't shed Kept it shape It is a really nice brush for all over the face powder. Good for setting powder. The size is not too big that it has better control on your face. Nothing much to say about it except it's worth getting.

Essence Lipliner - 08 Red Blush

This is such a beautiful red liner. It deep enough but not too dark that it will look beautiful on a red, berry, plum and mauve lipstick. It will create that beautiful dark edge to make it a bit ombre. I really love it.

Essence Lipliner - 11 In The Nude

Nude lipliner is actually something I don't really need. It's nice to have as it suits every lipstick you own. It's just nice to line your lips. But I find that sometime the lipstick colour will alter. So this is nice to tone down a deep shade, but it can look like a ruin colour. So I guess it really depend.  But I do like Essence lipliner. I find that they are inexpensive and really smooth to apply. The shades are all also very nice. They are not overly drying but they do set. Not straight away, but they will eventually set.

Montagne Jeunesse Very Berry

This is such a cool metallic purple mask. It feels really alien using this. It feels cool. Cause it's purple, but it's also metallic. I can divide this mask for 2 usage. Not sure if I can actually store them once opened. But that's what I did.  So this is a ultra moisturising which is very true. Not so good for my oily skin. For cleansing, this doesn't do much for me. So I guess it's just one of those mask that has a lot of moisturising property. Nothing much to say about this. Neither impress or disappoint me.
