Elf 32 Piece Eyeshadow Palette

I am curious about ELF product, so I bought the 32 shadows palette. This cost me US$5 from iherb.

Elf is suppose to be a cruelty-free brand. I know that China has the rule that cosmetics have to go through animal testing before it can be sold there. So if it's made there, would it has to be tested on animal too?

I don't get why it's made in china when there is the no animal testing. Or it's just the packaging that's made there. Or has the rule change? Hmm.

But anyway take a look at the shadows.

From the swatch you can conclude that not all of them are the same. Some is more pigmented, some is powdery, some can't be seen. There's a good mix of shimmery and matte shadows. But it's not really matte also. Maybe only the 6th (primary brown) on the first row. That's the only one is matte. The rest has a bit of sparkle, but can't be seen. At least it's smooth to the touch.
The shimmer shadows, some are ok and some are not. Its coarse to the touch though. But a couple are really pretty.
The pigmented ones are really powdery. But the colors are so pretty. Well, after a few more use, it wasn't as powdery. Well not all. Some.

So this palette is really both a mix of hits and misses. Each shadow is quite small which I prefer. Cause I'm just about trying out new things. Smaller items mean easier to finish. And if I don't like it, it's good too. For $5, even though it's 32 colors, I don't think I will purchase it if there was a tester. But I also don't really regret as the colors are neutral enough for me to use daily. It's just a fun palette to play around, or so I tell myself.

Givenchy Le Rose Perfecto Lip Balm

This is in the shade 201, creamy and a hint of light milky pink. I like that it is pretty, but the shade doesn't really suit me. What I like best is that they can engrave your name on the packaging. So it is pretty.

Yves Rocher Organic Vanilla

Christmas set right here. Love the scent. It's like a perfume vanilla. Not like vanilla extract but still quite good. I don't know, there is just something about it that makes me like it. So this set comes with 3 item. The shower puff, gel and lotion.  Silky Lotion is quite a watery lotion. I so used to squeeze bottle from TBS that this feels weird. The plastic is harder, so can't really clamp between my fingers. But the lotion flow out nicely. It's liquid-like and easy to apply. Sometime it feels like pour out to much. I guess also cause the opening is quite big. Blends into the skin and absorb quickly. Doesn't makes the skin feels sticky. Really good. Really love. Shower Gel is also very watery. It's like a thick syrup. But easy to flow out of the bottle. It lathers quite well. But I find that with shower gels is that it is better to use with a loofah. A bit of goes a long way. It will foam up, makes lathering so much more fun and easier. I guess you can alway...
