Bellabox September

When they tell us that we will be getting something pink, I was excited. I like all things pink. My box is pink, the card is pink, but other than that it wasn't as pink as I would have hope. First up, theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter. I was so delighted when I saw this in the box. Two months ago, I got the Hot Mama instead and was feeling quite disappointed. Cause I heard so much rave about this highlighter. True enough it so soft and pigmented. The powder is really smooth, another product I will love touching for sure. But its so small, I don't want to hit pan on it. I like the sample size, its just cute and compact. Love the magnetic closure. Love it better than Hot Mama. Hot Mama is not as smooth to the touch. And look at the color, its gorgeous. One down side, I do not have pointy nose, so putting it down my nose, just make my pores seems so much more obvious. Next, La Clinica Gly C Refine Micro Dermabrasion facial Exfoliating Scrub is a harsh scrub. The micro-demabra...

NaturVital

Shampoo and hair tonic that I've been loving lately. In fact, I just finished the shampoo. It's a very nice daily shampoo. Its for oil control which it did quite well. At least I am able to last more than 24h with this without oiliness. But I still have to wash my hair daily. Even though this is hair loss control product, I did not see much of a difference. My hair still drop. The tonic is a very watery product. It's cooling which feels nice on the scalp. Most of the time I feel that it just longer on my hair and never really reach the scalp. It just feels that way. I do not see much difference too, so I don't regularly use this. Well, maybe that's why. I am not a big fan of the opening as I prefer spraying. And it really don't feel any different than any other hair tonic. But this one cost much more than the usual one I use.

L'Oreal white perfect laser essence

It's a bit watery so it's easy to apply. Gives the face an overall dewy finish. I do not like the smell of it. I don't know why but the scent kind of linger on my fingers. I see no brightening effect. Other than that its moisturizing.

VIVO lipsticks

Got my hands on some VIVO products during their free shipping sale cause I have no self control. Research shows that VIVO and MUA are pretty much under the same household. But I just couldn't resist trying out new brands especially one that is on sale. So first up will be their lipsticks. I picked up 3 of the lipstick and 2 matte. This will be the 3 lipsticks. Nougat shade 7, a pretty natural brown shade. Pink Pout shade 5 is a shimmer duo-Crome pink with coral gold. Barely There shade 8, a natural cafe color but when swatch appear more pink. I am really bad describing the colors, but they are what it appear to me. The colors are really pretty when swatch on the hand. Not so much on the lips. Barely There is not a really good color on me. It kind of crease when you wear it. It isn't as smooth appearing on the lips. Really a pity, I like the color. For Nougat, as its darker, it's easier to wear, but I have to have a really smooth lip underneath. Can't wear this with e...

Color Infaillible in Metallic Lilac

One of the prettiest color I ever own. It really is hard to capture the color on camera. Ok, maybe it's just me who doesn't have the skill to. This is becoming my fav kind of eyeshadow. It's like pressed pigments. Gorgeous but not as messy. The packaging is really cute too with its stopper and stuff. I find the best way to use this is using my fingers. But I tried it with different kind of brushes. And those thick brush seems to work too. But the shadow kind of crumble as you have to drag it across to pick it up. With your fingers, you are more gentle with it. This is an iridescent finish. There is specks of magenta in it. It is not an over the top shade, but it still bring colors to your eyes. You can pack it up and it will be more sparkly. I usually just put all over my lid and its really pretty. The shadow seems to last for more than 12 hours, but it sort of disappear here and there. And it creases a little. With primer, it stays in tack. I recommend the color infaillibl...

La Mer the cleansing lotion

I do not like this at all. It's just so gooey and smell funky. It's slime like substance just make my face really soapy in a bad way. It doesn't remove makeup well either. So, this is a no for me.

Stippling brushes

I wanted stippling brush two months ago. Now I have three and I still want the elf mini stippling brush. I am that greedy. So before my no buy, I went to iHerb.com and decided to buy some stuff to make my own setting spray. In the end, my checkout basket is filled with a bunch of brushes. I told myself that it's a present for myself for birthday and Christmas and whatever holiday. Just a bunch of excuses. I cannot help but open up the stippling brushes though. I got myself the E.L.F stippling brush and the Real Techniques stippling brush. RT is smaller, more dense, shorter and slightly more stiff as compare to ELF. If I have the smaller elf one, I think it will be a better comparison, but they don't have it on the website. The ELF one is slightly more flexible. I guess the cause its longer(the hair) therefore it can move around more. Plus it kind of spread out. Both brushes are really soft. Even the Sephora stippling brush is not this soft, I did the wrist test in the store. ...

J'adore

J’adore is a modern, glamorous fragrance, which has become incredibly popular, and for that reason developed in number of variants of different concentrations. J’adore is a luminous fragrance. Its opulent, golden scent shimmers on skin like sunbeams. The classic and ambitions of this fragrance reflects in the bottle shaped like Greek amphora. J’adore presents a new conception of Dior feminity, a scent so new and so in line with Dior style at the same time – sweet but balmy, slightly sharp floral with fresh mandarin in the top; jasmine, plum, orchid and rose in the heart; and amaranth, musk and blackberry in the trail. It was created in 1999. This is one of the most classic perfume I ever used. I guess since it was created so long ago, to me its a classic. Even though I like so many other perfume fragrance. I feel that I cant go wrong with this. It can be use for day or night, but I prefer night use as its a perfume, so its stronger. Sadly doesn't last that long. 4hours top? Which ...

Liebster Award

The lovely Kaitlyn nominate me for this Liebster award. I think its a fun tag as the person who had nominated you have to come out with 10 questions. By doing this tag, I can't even think of 5 questions. So its impressive that many girls can come out with a list of interesting questions. A shout out to Katie from The Mask of Beauty for nominating me for the Versatile award. I already did that which you can check out here . These are the questions Kaitlyn gave me to answer. 1. High-End or Drugstore? Drugstore. I am budget that way. I rather be disappointed in a drugstore than a high-end product which I have occasionally. I guess its the expectation of high-end that makes you feel ugh when it doesn't match your standard. 2. What’s your favorite perfume right now? It will be Anna Sui Secret Wish. I love the clean spring scent. And it's kind of a cheaper alternative to Bond No. 9 Scent of Peace which I really want to own. 3. What’s your biggest pet peeve with other people’s m...

MeMeMe Cosmetics

I won a contest from MeMeMe Cosmetics Singapore Facebook page a few months back. I really wish I won the Top 10 products contest instead, cause its more products. But oh well, I did won! *smiles. I always wanted to try MeMeMe box blush, and I did not get the chance to get it from the UK. So I am really grateful that I won this contest. It's like, I'm lucky I did not buy it then. Anyway, this is the content of the bag. So I got a nail polish, a blush and a gloss. The nail color is a pretty coral nail color. It's really creamy and need two coats to really get them to be opaque. It's shiny enough without the need to use topcoat. The brush is really wide, which I like. And the polish pretty much is in tack after 4 days, before I had to remove them because of work. So I don't know how long it can actually last. And without a topcoat too. So it's really not bad. Next is Blush Me in coral. It really is a pretty coral. I think I swatch it badly here, in reality its r...

First Impression: Lancôme Mat Miracle 24H Liquid Foundation

I tried a sample of the Mat Miracle foundation. It was good. I like it. It's easy to apply. Blend nicely and best of all, it gives off a really nice matte finish. It became rather powdery when it set. So a little goes a long way, as you wouldn't want your face looking over powdered. It last forever too, as the 24H claim suppose to. I was given the shade O03 which look just about right. However when put on my face, it was too yellow. I managed to cover it with bronzer. I was so glad I only managed to get a sample. Imagine getting the whole bottle and your face turn yellow every time you put it. I'm not sure bout Singapore returning policy, but I don't think you can return used product or any product really. Anyway, I really do like this foundation. Love the staying power, the coverage is quite light, so it's nice. I have to blot throughout the day, but it wasn't bad. It is mainly just my nose. So it wasn't obvious. I just wish I had the right shade though. Wh...

First Impression: Rachel K cc cream

I think Rachel K is awesome. As in the woman not the brand. I only tried this cc cream, so I can't really say much about the brand. But the woman bring some glory to Singapore for "creating" the famous cc cream. I am sorry to say this but I don't like this product. It's a thick beige color consistency. I find that with or without primer, it's still hard to blend into the skin. I use primer on half my face. I really don't like that kind of foundation as I do not like to tug on my skin. I find that it can be drying and it always flake. The main reason I don't like this, my pores around my nose area is very obvious. The cream itself is quite light on my skin. I am a MAC NC30-35. So I bronze my hairline on my forehead as the flakiness of the cream and the lighter color just looks like I have dry scalp. Anyway the cream oxidize and it turn out to be the exact match for my skin. Well at least it looks good to me overall. Except the nose area which I really h...

YSL bronzer

I love this baby. As I get tanner, I realize my face appear lighter with the foundation I am using. So I need to sort of darken my face to blend better. My option is bronzer. Instead of using them to contour, I use them all over my face, sort of. It is slightly brighter and more orange than others I have. It looks like it has shimmer, but it doesnt transfer on the face. So its not exactly matte, but its not sparkly too. It doesn't make me orange despite the color. In fact this bronzer suits me perfectly. It is pretty as a blush and it works as a contouring powder. I don't really contour, just roughly go over it. I still don't know how to contour properly so this is perfect. It's light enough for it not to appear dirty but its pigmented enough for the color to show. I like to outline my face, so my hairline will be covered. With a lighter foundation, the color of the face is just so different from everywhere making you look weird. So bronzer is the way to go. Even though...

VDL beauty moisturizer

I have to tell this story so bare with me. I was walking around Orchard with a friend and we crossed over to Tangs to collect some Lancôme samples. Orchard underground really scare me especially on weekends. There were just too many passerby and too many people giving out flyers. But I feel bad for them and will always take the flyers given out. So I got this VDL flyer and dump it in my bag. At the end of the underground, another girl was giving out the same flyer. Since I already took one, I don't feel the need to have another. I guess cause everyone ignored her, she said, "its a moisturizer." And we were just surprised and I asked my friend if she wanted one. We really had no shame, turned back a couple steps to collect it. The girl gave me one too. So then I have two. It's a really good sample packaging/flyer/information/marketing. I really am impressed. It's such a neat way to get people to know the brand. Include a little sample and everyone is happy. The pro...

Tutti frutti

I am just wow by the color of tutti frutti. I never thought I will be able to pull off orange. But I love it so much. It is just a nice change from the usual pink or nude. The color can be seen unlike the baby lip. For the lip butter, I find that it is different from the rest that I owned. When first applied, it just feel different. Not as moiturising as the others. For some reason it got chipped off easily. But after using it for a few time, it got better.

Rimmel Extra Super Lash

I got mine in 101 black black. This is a non waterproof mascara. It states that it builds a natural to dramatic look with super lash separation. I like the packaging as it gives me a sense of security. I guess it's the capping. The wand is a normal bristle which is triangular. Reminds me of a Christmas tree. That is fun. As you can see, not much difference are seen. It's like you are not putting any mascara. Although in person, it's darker than not having mascara. But it doesn't lengthen or volumise the lashes. It's true if coated more, it can give of a dramatic look, but it clumps the lashes. So I just coat them normally and it looks natural. After 5 hours and a eye rub, you can see its fading away. It doesn't hold the curl very well. I guess most non waterproof are. I rather wish its waterproof as Singapore weather is humid. It is a tad dry formula but for some reason it always smudge my eyes. Especially the left one. And it always smudge my top water line too...

Shower gels

I always make it a point to have a shower gel and a scrub in my bathroom at all time. Not those hard core scrub, just a gentle body scrub. I also like to have milky shower soap, just for days I feel I need to moisturize myself fully. Beautain wellness treat skin illuminating bath and shower scrub . This is really gentle but I feel that I remove dead cells after using this. It is also very cooling and refreshing. Dove sensitive skin . Don't you just love the smell of Dove soap? I love the shampoo too, but it's too moisturizing for my oily hair, so I never use them. But the scent it lovely. It's milky and really moisturizing. Doesn't strip your body of moisture after you rinse them. It's just a classic, rather boring body soap. Neutrogena rainbath refreshing shower and bath gel. This smells like a five star hotel. It smells like holiday. We've been trying to remember which hotel(s) use this shower gel, but we can't remember. Anyway, it smells so good that the...
