Cure Natural Aqua Gel

I get why people love this. This is the kind of cleanser that once you rinse your face, you will be left with a squeaky clean face. But this doesn't feel ultra dry. It's like it's a good squeaky feel. It makes your face feel really clean and renewed. It's like very refreshing to have a new  face. I mean you know like a super clean face.  They say to use a few pumps, which is true. Cause you need a few on your hands to actually get it to sort of lather up. And it's also to me quite troublesome. Cause I have to wash my face then dry it before I can apply this. That's mean I have to remove my make up then wash my face then dry face before I can use this. That's wasting time.  Nevertheless, I still like it. Cause my face feels smooth after. It appears brighter too. So ya, maybe it's my imagination but I will continue to use it.

Percy & Reed Volumising No Oil Oil

$14 from Sephora for a mere 5ml, that's $2.80 per ml. I just saw it at the counter and grab it. Not sure what I was thinking. Probably was along the line that I haven't try this brand before, so I should. Anyway, it's a no oil oil for fine hair. It's supposed to volumise the hair. I'm still scared that this will turn my hair oily. But it's not as bad, so whether I use this or not, there's not much difference.  This is to be used on towel dried hair, which is really nice. It doesn't feel oily. I like it cause it gives my hair a very smoothed, proper look. I usually came out of the shower, used a hair tonic then comb through it. I don't bother with hair blowing. So I always naturally dry the hair. Depending on how I comb through, my hair look different. While most of the time it looks natural, more often than not, it appear unkept.  With this, my hair always look good. It's just so smooth and healthy looking. It's also not as flat. In term of v...

Photo Finish Primer Water

Any spray will sure will get on my list, the same with this primer water which is $52 for 116ml which is really crazy. To me, this is a toner and primer; also a mist. So, take it as a skincare product, it's quite alright. At least that's my excuse. Anyhow, I like the spray but I don't really use it. I don't feel joy using this, unlike Fix+  or  Beauty Elixir . So I don't tend to reach for it often.  I also not sure how good this is in term of locking makeup. I only that this is refreshing. It helps moisturise the skin without it feeling heavy. I guess it's just a good facial mist. But then, it will be better when it comes in a travel size.  I wouldn't recommend this. But maybe cause I have way too much facial sprays around. I'll update again if I have a different opinion on this.

First Impression: Nightingale Tako Pack Nose

So this a 3 steps nose pack. It's supposed to pull off the pore. All 3 came in nose sheets. The first one is to prep the skin. It's a heating sheet that suppose to open up the pores. The second sheet is to pull off the blackhead. You still need to wet the nose slightly for the second sheet to stick. After 15 minutes, the sheet got dry and hard, then you pull off the sheet. It isn't the best at removing blackhead, but it does remove the pores. Then the last sheet is to help with the tightening of the pores. I don't see how helpful it was, but I guess you should always close up the pores after.  Overall, it's alright. It's fun cause there's a picture of an octopus on the sheet. Usually blackhead sheet are just plain. But in term of quality, it's average cause it only pull out mostly at the centre of the nose. It does a good job, but I wish it was the pull was slightly stronger at the sides. Other than that, I wouldn't mind buying more of these.

bdb Brow Powder - Taupe

I need a brow powder to replace my Catrice eyebrow set . I used to wear only brown shade a sit looks better on me. This year, I only use grey ones as it looks better on me now. Brown is way too light. I almost finished off the lighter shade of the Catrice one. So I really need a powder that is of the same shade. I bought this on a whim and I'm so thankful it works. The taupe is rather light too even though on the pan itself, it looks rather deep.  So this works well to my advantage as I'm looking for a taupe shade but not overly deep. It shades the brows quite well. I just have to be steady on brushing through the hair. This last longer than the Catrice, so it's much better. But of course this cost me $28 while the drugstore product is less than $7. I prefer this also cause its not powdery. Catrice has lots of fallout. So that's the big difference.  Oh well, I think I found my brow powder for now until my brows decided it won't suit taupe. So this better last till f...

First Impression: Sephora Shea Lip Mask

I am loving lip masks. I had to try Sephora's one. I got the Shea lip mask. It's alright. It's one side gel like, the other side is just a clothe like. So it's not as fun as Pure Smile Choosy lip mask  which is just full-on gel mask. There's a slit in the centre which is not a straight slit. So it's quite weird to me. It is suppose to help you in a way? Like so you can get a drink or talk? So ya, a bit weird.  The only think I feel that this is worth purchasing is that after, my lips feel very moisturised. It helps with the chapped lips. So it does work. I feel with extreme dry lips, you use this for 2/3 days, and I'm sure your lips are back to normal. So yah, for $4 it's not bad.

Yes To Primrose Oil Facial Wipes

So this is exciting cause it's different from the rest of the Yes To wipes. This is a 2-in-1 cleansing + moisturising facial wipes. It's suitable for sensitive skin as its suppose to be calming and soothing and help with redness. This is also slightly more expensive as compare to the rest. To me, it has a weird scent. I Guess it's the primrose scent, but I don't like it.  I think this kind of break me out. It just feels not right on my skin. Seriously, I wouldn't know exactly what's the real reason my skin break out. But it just feels like this is the culprit. It's an ok wipe. It removes surface makeup rather well. It's not too wet, so it's fine for a normal average makeup face. If your face is heavy with makeup, then one sheet will not be enough. Still, using a proper makeup remover will be better. If not, just get the tomatoes wipes  which is a better option.

S&G Calm One Calm All Bubbling Bath Soak

Well this is meant for bubble bath, but I used it as a shower gel. It's nice cause it's just so foamy. But I feel the scent is lacking. It's alright when you are using it but once you rinse it off, it's gone. I guess if used as bubble bath, it will linger better. Cause with the mix of water, it should stick on the skin better.

Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser

This is quite nice. I never notice the scent until I use this in an enclosed place. The hotel bathroom was rather small. So when I use this, the scent of mandarin is quite strong. Reason it's mandarin is cause the packaging is orange so it just to me smells of oranges. So it really is an energy boosting moisturiser.  It's quite a thin moisturiser, and it sinks into the skin nicely. Only around my nose area will get oily by the end of the day. So a midday touch up is necessary. But it's quite nice to use this. I wouldn't buy the full size cause this is not meant for oily skin.

Lock-it Concealer

I got the colour medium warm which seems to be rather light on me. But for under the eyes, the shade is actually good. It's slightly yellow, brightening, quite pigmented but not cakey. It's a good colour. The wand is quite big, but it grab so little product. So it sort of force me to use little concealer. If I want a proper full face makeup, I will have to dip the wand again for the other side of my face.  Most of the time, I only used whatever amount was on the wand. It's such a full coverage that the little amount is enough. I don't love it, but it's good enough for me.  For $40, I don't think I will repurchase.

Nars Audacious Lipstick - Anita

I just had to try this formula. Like everyone said, I do end up liking the magnetic cap. It just makes me feel so secure, plus it's easy to close the lipstick. After much thoughts, I decided on the shade Anita. It's a pretty mauve shade. Pretty much, all the lip colour I'm wearing these days.  Anita is super pigmented. The formula is a creme, very smooth to apply, just one coat is needed. It slightly covers my chapped lips, but closed up, I can still see it. It's comfortable to a point that I forgot I had it on. I happen to pass by a mirror and my face looks rather bright. My lips look good and that's when I remembered I used this lipstick. It just gives a nice colour to my face. I like it.  I bought this at $46, so not exactly cheap. But I feel nowadays, lipsticks are around the $36 -$50 price point. As long as I enjoy using it, I still can closed my eyes on the price tag.

Lazy & Easy All Kill Sheet

This is 2 step product. Step 1 is the cleansing tissue. It's such a wet sheet. Feels a lot like wet tissue drenched in water. It's good cause it is wet that it's easy to remove your make up. But it just makes your face wet after. They say to use the mask after that. I have to wait a while for my face to dry up. I naturally air dry it.  Step 2 is the all-in-one sheet mask. It's a very thin mask. I made a mistake of adjusting the mask. It touched my eyes and it hurts. The essence is not for around the eyes. With the eye holes being rather small.. Ugh, I shuddered to think of the essence dropping down on to my eyes.  Anyway, the mask itself is quite cooling. It's moisturing and actually quite comfortable on the face. It's best to just close your eyes and lie down using this.  In the end, people buy this cause of lazy egg. The mask is just too cute. And it will be a great gift for anyone. It states on the packaging that it can only be sold in Korea, but this was bou...

CdP Gentle Balancing Toner

This is quite fine actually. It's light and gentle. It doesn't break me out. It's not too heavy but it can be used for cold dry weather. It gives your skin a little hydration. So it's nice. It's refreshing. I wouldn't buy the full size. I don't see the point, but it's nice to have samples.

I Love My Shu Shu Palette

This is a 2015 limited edition palette from Shu Uemura. It cost Us$69, so it's rather pricey. I was given this and kept this in the box until a month a guy. So I've been playing with it for awhile now and it's not something I would use. It's just too colourful for me. I like the pigments on the shadows, but the colour is just not me. It has 2 great purple shadows, and a gorgeous deep forest shade but I feel that you still need a nuetral palette to complete a look. And there's a light pink highlight, which is darker on the pan.  The blush is a nice pink. Very pigmented too. It's wearable so that's good. It's a fun palette. Definitely good to bring out for summer fun. Plus they do last well on the face. But yah, it's just not my cup of tea.

Cover Fx Mattifying Primer

Bought this at $25 from Sephora. It's just a travel size primer. I feel that this is good for a short day. It doesn't last long, so for a short event, this will do pretty well. I got this for the anti acne treatment. I think it's quite good for that. It's like very soothing and does help with calming the skin. I don't love it as a primer, but I wouldn't mind having this when my skin is a bit crazy. I probably will later I though just to have a longer lasting primer. But $25 a bit steep for 15ml, so I wouldn't repurchase this.

MAC Fast Play

For the first time, MAC had a 20% sale in conjunction with the Sephora sale. So I bought a few item and I'm planning to unbox them one at a time. It was hard trying to choose a lipstick shade. I just want them all. But I decided to buy the different finishes. So first up is the Amplified lipstick. It's pigmented, long wearing, smooth and doesn't dry up your lips. My lips was quite chapped. And using this, you still can see the flakes on my lips. I was hoping that it will cover it up. But it doesn't.  Fast Play is a beautiful mauve. It's slightly on the nude side, wearable for any occasion. It will gives your lips a hint of colour without attracting attention to you.  I like how it's so long lasting and yet it doesn't dry up my lips. Even with chapped lips, it's comfortable on. It's also not patchy when applied. Really glad I pick up this colour.

First Impression: Pure Smile Pink Flower Mask

I actually like this one. It smells so nice. It's very cooling when applied. I guess cause I'm using it in an air conditioned room. So it's very nice. Plus the scent it's so nice, it's just very relaxing. I think it's a rose scent. I can't really tell. Anyway this has collagen, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E. Also the fit of this mask is quite good. It stick on my face rather well unlike the rest. I do enjoy using this.

mocodo Silicone Puff

I wanted to jump into the band wagon of the silicone puff. I really wanted to see how bad it is that people are laughing about it. I wanted to try the original one (SiliSponge) or at least the popular brand one - Heme, with the smiley baby face. It cost NT199, wasn't on sale, so I didn't get it. Instead I bought this which is cheaper. I can't exactly remember how much, but it was cheaper.  This is a silicone puff. It feels very jelly like with a smooth plastic covering it. I am not sure how I feel about it. People say this is good cause it doesn't absorb the product unlike sponges. While that's true, people countered that you can just use your fingers and it will gives the same result.  I do prefer this though. I don't like getting foundation on my fingers. So a silicone puff is better for me. In term of of how well it can blend the foundation onto my skin, this is not that good. I find that I have to pat a lot, buff a lot. The pressure on my fingers are better....

Shampoo, tried & tested 5

Clear Women Anti-Dandruff Shampoo for dry scalp and itchy control. I don't like this. I guess cause this is for dry scalp. While my scalp is on the oily side. So this does not suit me at all. Sunsilk Hair Fall Solution Shampoo doesn't seem to do anything for my hair at all. It is alright if you use it once a week, but daily, this will leave my hair rather oily quite fast. It is the appearance of oily hair more so than the actual hair turning oily. Plus my it doesn't help with hair fall. Pantene Silky Smooth Care helps prevent damage for smooth hair. This is another of those shampoo that I can get away with for a day. The scent of Pantene's shampoos is lovely. It is just nostalgic to use. But my hair is quite spoil, it can only use certain shampoos that cost more than the average. Sunsilk Light Frequent Wash smells really nice. I actually quite like this as this foam up really easily. But again, I can only use this twice in a row. Maybe the third day still alright, but t...

Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina Travel Set

It's nice when people travel taking business class to a long distance country, and they do not want the free goodies. So it will be pass down to me instead. This one is like for 2015/2016 cause I know now Ferragamo came out with the new perfume (Signoria Eleganza) which I am happened to have a set too.  Signorina, a lovely and chic Italian name that literally means young woman. Stylish, truly Italian, fresh and full of life. The bright fizzy notes of currant spiced by fresh pink pepper bring their joyful, cheeky character to green notes. A generous dewy floral heart is composed of elegant jasmine, pink peony and rose. Spontaneous and delicate sweetness of pannacotta together with soft musks and intriguing woody patchouli notes offer a racy Italian elegance and an unexpected addictiveness. I like it. It's a nice scent. Feminine. Gentle. But the first spray is quite strong. It's just that the scent is rather on the soft side. It's perfect for daily and morning when you do...

Hourglass Girl Lip Stylo - Peacemaker

Peacemaker is such a beautiful colour. It's a very pigmented nude that is on the darker side. It's so wearable and suited for any occasion. This also has a nice finish, it's not too glossy.  Girl Lip Stylo is a statement piece itself. It's too short compare to all the lip crayon. But it's longer than most of the lipstick. The packaging is just nice. It's a twist up, so no sharpening is needed. The downside is that when you take out the cap, the product is already out. So it's easy for it to get ruined. When you pull out the cap, it can hit the lipstick. When you cover, you can accidently hit it too. So you have to be very center, slowly and vertically close the cap.  I don't like the fact that I have to be careful using this. I have to be gentle in opening and closing. But at least the product is quite sturdy. It's sturdy but transfer well on to the lips. It just glide on like butter. I really like that. I like that it's pigmented and comfortable...

Perfect Whip

This was quite a rage all over Taipei. It's a product from Japan, but you can pretty much see it everywhere in Taipei. Also, based on "what to buy in Taiwan" blog posts, this is one of the item that's recommended. They say that it's more expensive in Singapore. Anyway, in Taipei you can get it about TW99 for bulk pack. But that's at a promo price. So normally it should be TW129.  I get why people like this. It's very foamy. You literally need a pea size for your whole face. It smells kind of nice too. I don't really get what is the scent but it's pleasant.  In term of cleansing, it's alright. Gentle and basically suitable for any skin type. I never try to remove any waterproof mascara with this so I don't know how well it can perform. But it's good for a daily cleanser.
