The Stuff I'd Used

The gel version is super popular. But I prefer anything mist. It's easier and super convenience to apply. It's easier to apply. 

Vitamin C is needed for people with mature skin. So I'm not sure if I actually need this. I don't really like the feeling on my skin. I think this kind of break me out. It's just slightly too strong for me. 

This smells quite nice. But it is just not the kind of shampoo for me. Maybe for the first wash is alright, but the second wash gives me dandruff. The conditioner also doesn't really stay on my hair. So it's not a good treatment I feel. I'm sure this will be more for others who don't have oily hair. Probably one with dry hair who needs the repair. 

This reminds me of seaweed, not sure why. Maybe it's the colour. It's a gel like consistency that's easy to apply on the skin. It absorb well and doesn't leave my skin feeling oily. I like it. Plus just a small amount is all I need for my whole face. So this will last a long time. 

I forgot how much I like these lipsticks. Kate by Rimmel is hard lipstick that felt solid when applied. Shade 30 is deep berry shade that is quite hard to apply. You have to use a lipliner so not to get the lipstick over the lips. I guess cause the colour is very deep, it's very obvious if you make a mistake. Nonetheless it's a very beautiful shade perfect for winter. 

I don't really like this. It's very cream like making it a very thick cleanser. It's alright. The consistency is ok once you get used to it. But this break me out. So it's a no for me. 

I like foamy hand soap. It just dispense foam that doesn't run from the palm. It's just less messy. This one has such a nice scent. It's very citrus like, but not so overpowering. It's more of a holiday scent instead of the typical summery citrus. Plus it doesn't dry up the hand after the wash. So it's really nice. 

This is a good concealer. Med-light neutral is a good shade for me. It blends in very well with my skin tone. It's pretty much my skin tone. The consistency of the concealer is nice like gel like but very creamy, very blendable. I say gel like cause it is just very smooth when you apply it on the skin. The wand also help in that as it is a flat tip, easily glide on to the skin.  So it really is naked skin kind of feeling with this concealer.  The only thing I don't like is that this don't last long. I will come home with really obvious dark circle. I am not sure at which point of time the concealer will fade away, but I'm thinking around the 5 hours mark. If you don't mind touching up, this is good. 

A retro matte finish Liquid lipstick. It's actually really nice on the lips. It doesn't feel so drying. I like it. High Heels is a beautiful red. It dries down matte rather quickly. It is quite hard to remove actually, so a good makeup remover is needed. With that, I can comfortably use this for a night out. I don't have to worry about this fading away anytime soon. Plus the wand is nice as the pointy part is small enough for the edge of the lips. But definitely a lip product that you need to apply with a mirror in front of you.

It's relaxing and as always easy to use. I wasn't sure if I was really tired or this makes me very relax, that I just fall asleep within minutes. It's worth trying it again.   

This has a rather faint scent. It's nice but it hardly lingers on the hair. I like it enough as a conditioner. But it's nothing special. I only use conditioner on the ends, so I doubt that will actually help with the resurrection of the hair. 

This is the kind of soap that you won't think much. It's very fast to use up. It lathers well, but again you just tend to use a lot of it at one go. The scent is nice, lemony but it doesn't linger. So overall, it's a nice soap but doesn't leave a big impression on me. 

Bought this for NT79. I like it as it's a no nonsense eyebrow pencil. It's very simple, just a grey tone universally flattering eyebrow shade. You have to sharpen the pencil and there is no brush to even it in. So yeah, while this is not my fav kind of eyebrow product. It's good to go back to the basic sometime. I enjoy it as it's like a Shiseido brand, made in Japan, rather inexpensive and good quality. So not much to complaint. 

This is actually quite a nice mist. Not sure what is the purpose but it is alright. The mist itself is quite weak. The nozzle is not as smooth as others. But it's alright cause this has a nice scent. So it's actually nice to use this. 

Yay for $50 tiny lipstick. This is crazy, but oh so worth it, ok maybe not. Unless I only have one lipstick. The lipstick is so luxurious on the lips. I love it. But not worth the crazy price tag, or is it? I can't really decide. The full size is like $80ish but I don't think I'll be able to use it up, so I rather get the small one. I was just scared that the small one will not have a good feel upon application. But this one is alright.  Anyway the minis are named after boys, but the shades are the same as the bigger ones. Collin is Indian Rose, a muted plummy rose. It's beautiful. It's not the typical plum or neutral I would somehow pick for myself. So it's a nice colour to have. It's a satin finish, so it looks really nice in the lips.  The packaging itself is not so wow as the full size, and it scratches too. So if you care about packaging and such, the mini will not be a good choice. But as luxury goes, this is it. Even YSL is consider a luxury lipstick,...

I am not sure if this is the same as the gold standard one. But I don't enjoy using that at all. This one is good. It's very hydrating and even though the mask is slightly big, it still fit my face. So I have no problem using this mask. It doesn't feel pampering, but it gives a good feeling after. Like as if the mask did something to your skin, that kind of feeling. As compare to 3 years ago, either my skin has change or the mask is totally different in formulation. Either way, it's good.

This is a clear mask. It was a translucent mask that will be probably soaked into the skin if you use a little bit. Cause you can actually apply this as a sleeping mask. This has a nice tingly feel. It just mint up your whole face. It is not painful, does not sting; it is just really nice on the face. I really like the affect on my face. It is just soothing and cooling and a nice feeling. My face is hydrated without feeling too oily like most hydrating mask will give. So this is good. It was unexpected when you first see the light translucent beige cream. I didn't know that it can kick such a punch. Then again it is Glamglow, it is pricey. I guess they have to work well.

This is mask is quite heavily scented. It's not bad, but just unexpected. Lover boy looks more like a xiaomeimei, at least if it doesn't have the moustache. No 2 is for whitening and energizing. Maybe thats why there is a scent - to perk you up! I enjoy using these masks; they're fun and fuss free. Plus the mask is quite a good fit on the face. Doesn't seems to really whiten my face though. Still an okay mask. 

Anti-wrinkle, firming and nutrition. Not sure what nutrition is for, but I guess it's just a mask that has a lot of nutritional benefits. This mask has a peculiar scent. I can't put a finger what it is. I don't like it but I don't hate it. Neutral I guess. The mask fits I my face quite alright. It's slightly big, but it is fine. It is quite nice coz it feels like gel mask. At least the essence make it so.  You are suppose to put it on for 20-30 minutes. But towards the 15 minutes mark, my face feels itchy. After 20, I remove them. Usually I wait until the mask get dries up. But I can't stand it. It just feels that it will worsen. My face looks brighter though. It doesn't claim that it does, but I just feel that it did. Maybe it's just in my head. 

I like this. It's a 2-pieces gel mask. Instructions said to peel off the film liner and apply mask with liner side to the skin for 20-40 minutes. Now I wonder if the film liner is the clear film or the white film? It should be the clear one. Cause that gives a smooth gel texture mask. The other side is a rougher surface. I prefer the smooth one anyway.  I just have a hard time making sure the mask stay on. It's slightly slippery to me, especially the bottom part. Anyway, this mask for some reason is warm on my skin. Not sure if it has to do with the description of body heat thermosensitive cellulose gel mask . It's nice though. Will be better on a cold night.  Overall, I really like this mask among all the Dr Jart masks I've tried so far. I guess I just prefer gel like masks. It's more fun on the skin. 

This smells so bad. That's the one thing I can't stand. The mask is very thin, it was sandwiched between 2 plastic sheets. The opening for the eyes are quite small. It kept poking at my eyes. It's irritating. I bought this cause I was intrigue at the time capsule at the packaging. Anyway this is the time reviving anti aging capsule. I don't think this is worth.  I hardly can find info using this. And everything is in Chinese, except the back of the mask. The mask just tells you to put it on for about 10-15 minutes. Nothing on the capsule.  Luckily found an eBay site selling this and it said to put on the mask. After, take the gel capsule and open it up and use it as a serum on the face. So yah. The white tiny tube, is just a silica gel. So a bit useless. I thought it will be the kind of mask where when you pour the gel into the white tube it will expand out. I guess I was wrong.  The capsule is very gel like texture but it becomes very watery and oily. I didn't dare...

The thing I like about Kissui masks is that they are so thin. It's nice on the skin. It just blends well. This doesn't smell as good. But it's actually quite nice on the skin. I can tolerate it for about 7 minutes before my face start to itch. I still continue and preserve anyway.  The other thing I like is that once it dries, the sheet harden slightly. So peeling the mask off is very satisfying. It doesn't cling onto your skin anymore, but it just removed nicely.  This mask gave me a very moisturised look. It brighten and freshen my face. So it's quite nice. I mean after the itch eventually subdue, I'm glad I continue putting on the mask. For this really do works at making my face looks more full and bouncy. Definitely a good mask for days you're feeling a little dry and need a perk me up.  I wouldn't buy it again but it's worth a try for anyone really. 5 travel size brushes with such pretty prints on the handles. This is such a good set to bring along on a short trip. They are short handle, so they pretty much fit into most makeup up bags. The quality is good and I enjoy using them.  Flat concealer brush  is small and flat. I don't really like to use this as a concealer brush. I tend to use it as an eye brush instead. But if need to, this will be use to cover the spots.  Buffing concealer brush  is a sturdier soft small budding brush. It's good for buffing a small area on the face.  Precision foundation brush  is a longer pointer version of the flat concealer. So I tend to use this more as a concealer brush. Most of the time I prefer buffing, but I find that flat style brush is good at moving the product around. Subtle scent, these are good for traveling. I got these from a hospitality event, but I'm not sure which hotel actually use them. They are very generic. It's quite alright, but nothing wow about them. The shampoo as always, I can only use them twice in a row. It doesn't leave me as oily as any other shampoo. But it's not exactly the best shampoo for me. The shower gel is nice. It lathers well. Conditioner is everage. It does make a good cream for shaving though. So nothing impressive about this, but it's useable. 

I am not sure why but it seems that toners are failing me. I feel like they are not doing anything to my face. I can use pretty much the rest but toners, I can ignore it completely. Or at least with or without them, I don't really see a difference.  I only have travel size toners or sprays one now. Spray toners are good as they are convenient. While the small one is good as I'm more diligent on my skincare during holiday.  This one in particular is suppose to be a whitening one, maybe that's why doesn't really suit me. I don't really enjoy using this. All I feel like I'm doing is wasting the lotion away. Granted the bottle is pretty, but the lotion is nothing to take note of. So it's just not for me. 

This is quite good cause it is a rather wet clothe. so it is very easy to remove my makeup. I just don't like it enough as it just doesn't feel like it really cleanse my face. Even though this said that you don't have to double cleanse. So this acts as a lotion too. It's actually quite good for anyone lazy, aka me. But I don't know, maybe I just have to really use this more on an actual face full makeup to really feel the effect. Cause on normal days, this just do fine. But I'm just not in love.

This is said to enhance body circulation to working people with bloated feet. i guess if you too much in the office, your feet can get swollen. So this is suppsoe to get rid of toxins and unwanted substances from the body during your sleep. I didn't use this in my sleep. So that maybe can alter my experience using this? Anyway, you are suppose to use this for 7 days, I am stubborn enough not to care. I bought a whole bunch of these, so maybe I'll do try them out. But I don't think it will work if it's all different kind. Oh well.  Anyway, I'm not sure if my feet was bloated. It didn't seems so. So I can't say that this work. All I know is that the patch broke and it was all greyish and watery and yucky. So maybe it does suck out all the water from my feet. So yay?!

The more pigmented version of the butter gloss. Personally I prefer the butter gloss as it's more like a gloss. I'm not sure if it's the shade that I had chosen or it's just the formula. Intense is slightly more pigmented, so it's more like a liquid lipstick. It's not overly sticky but you know this will last longer than just a mere hour.  Peanut brittle is a neutral caramel shade. It's a nice daily shade. Only, this is not so even when applied. So you have to use a mirror to apply this. It's the only way to even it out so you won't have patchy looking lip.  Overall it's a nice gloss/lip product. And for $13, it's quite reasonable if you buy during sale. 

I am not sure about this shampoo. I think it does a good job at cleansing. The conditioner is nice too. The smell is alright. You use them the first few time is ok. But then it seems to lose its effectiveness. So yah, I have to use the full size to really determine this. 

I am like Sephora lip mask. I thought I would have prefer the others as this is quite messy to apply. But after the initial hassle, I enjoy using it. It dries up beautifully. And the slit in the center just makes it so much more comfortable. This doesn't have the rose scent. So it's nice. I don't mind rose scented anything anymore, but it's nice not have any scent sometimes. The mask is moisturising and good for a day after heavy lipstick wearing and you need the extra moisture. So this will do just that. Not a miracle worker, but it helps a bit. 

I really like this eyescream. It's really very velvety, long lasting and waterproof. It only takes a couple seconds to set the shadow. It's good for when you are in a rush or you just want something budge proof but it's bad if you plan to smudge your eye shadows. I guess this can be used as a base.  Crumb cake is a neutral brown shade. It's good for no fuss shade on the lid. It's easy to apply, and it just gives a nice a neutral shade without it looking too obvious. It's good for daily use.  This is 3g, and cost $24 so it's rather pricey. But I still think it's worth it. 

The baby on the mask vs me. I looked so horrible. Anyway, upon researching, I found out that the Babyish range is meant for people in their 20s. Well, I still qualify under that category, but I guess my skin is a bit too late. While the whole idea of wanting a baby skin is very appealing, I feel that the mask can be better made.  This is a 7 masks pack, and the essence is not distributed equally. The top side of the mask is slightly dryer than the bottom half. Also, it's so hard to put on the mask. It doesn't fit very well and I found that it's just not moisturising enough. Plus it's quite sticky once the mask is gone from my face.  I bought this at TW129. When 2 is for TW199, but I bought a lot of stuff and only notice on the receipt the cashier didn't give me the discount. So disappointed but oh well, just my luck I guess. But yah, so these masks can set you about TW100 which is about SG$4++, so it's rather cheap for a 7 piece masks. Therefore good for anyone ...

$56 concealer. I feel that it is getting more expensive to try out new products now. If I go for drugstore, it will be about $20s. Highend will be about $40s. So I guess it's about there. I finally choose a shade that is similar to my skin tone. After having lighter concealers, it's quite refreshing to have one that is close to my shade.  I like the nozzle, making it easy and give out more or less the right amount I want.  

I was attracted to the ads of these lipsticks. They were fun and full of opaqueness, creaminess and smoothness. I really wanted one to try. It cost $36, so it's not that too bad. There're many finishes to choose from, the one I have is a more creamy finish.  Raw sugar is a pinkish nude. It's very nuetral on my lips and a good shade for everyday wear. It's more pink on me, so it doesn't look boring. Also the lasting power of this is quite good. It doesn't last forever, but it managed to survive a light dinner date. Also, it has little transfer. So I enjoy it. It will lose its shine, but the colour will still be there.  The shade reminds me of Bitch Perfect . But the latter has a glossy finish. Also it's not as dark. But seriously you can't really tell the difference. But at least the 2 finishes are different, so I don't regret having them both.  The only complain about this, is the shape. This is quite nice actually. At first it is quite stiff when you put it on. But once you tape it up, it is quite alright. The plastic is not as bad as it looks. I still managed to have a comfortable day wearing this. I put it on for about 40 minutes, and I just lie down on the bed without feeling the mask is on. So it's a nice feeling actually.  Also, my legs doesn't prune up , what's the right term for that phrase? But I mean it's nice, you get moisturised feet after when it's quite hassle free. Only tearing the plastic is troublesome. You have to use scissors to cut them. But overall, it's a good foot mask. It will fit most everyone. 

$69 of clear gel. Does this work? I'm not too particularly diligent in applying this. So I don't get to really see if this works or not. But I do know it sort of help a bit. Cause without this, the lashes at the corner of my eyes is nil. When I apply this at least, I can see some baby hair growth. I like that it has a sponge end, that you can apply as a liner. And the mascara wand is nice to brush the lashes. So it's a good combo. But if you don't apply this everyday, then I feel that this is just going to be a waste of money. So wasted for me.

This is a nice smelling heat protectant spray. You can spray this to your hair when it's half wet. So it's nice, you don't have to blow dry your hair first. What I like is that this doesn't crisp up my hair until after. Only after the curl is set, then my hair will be slightly crispy. It isn't that bad, cause it still looks natural. Also it will keep the curls until you wash your hair. I never really kept second day curls, so I don't know how long it will last. 

Years ago, the people declare this as the best lip balm out there. Every time I pass by a Dior counter, I will be looking for this. Singapore, there is only the tube and the apricot pot lip balm. When my bro went to Boston, I asked him to buy this for me. So I finally managed to get my hands on the luxurious plastic pot of rose scented lip balm.  To say it is the best, I have no comment. It's not like it's bad but for the price, US$30, it's not that wow. It just lack the factor. I guess I was expecting miracles. It's a good balm, use this for 2 days straight, you'll have the softest crack-free lips; at least that is how it is on me. A day used helps, but consistent usage helps a lot more. I am talking when I have major dry lip here.  So yeah, if you can get this easily at a discount, it's worth a try. With 7.2g, it can last a Long time after all. So it will be quite worth. Bought this at $18. It's a very fluffy crease brush. I like it enough. It's a nice size on the lid. It an easy used as a crease brush or even pack in some colours. It's fluffy and soft. It's also goes on smooth on the lid. However, it just doesn't feel as nice. I now can feel the different between good brushes and awesome brushes. On the hand, it feels alright. However, when you apply it on the lid, you can feel that it's not as luxurious. While it's soft and did its job, it is just not as swift. I guess you can say that. But really for $18, it's a good brush. 

I really like this. It's a good size for a one time use. 7.9ml, and the capsule shape body wash is cute. Blueberry is also a good scent. I like Sephora body wash. They're very moisturising and the smell is lovely. The scent is not overpowering. It lathers well but I always feel that I need to use a lot of it for my whole body. 

There is just something about grapefruit that doesn't totally remove off my makeup. I think it's the fact that these is not extremely wet. Don't get me wrong, it's wet enough and remove makeup alright. But it tends to dry up after awhile. So it's fine for daily usage but not when I really wanna remove my heavier makeup. The good thing is, this doesn't smell like grapefruit. So that's good in my book. Cause sometime grapefruit scent can be tricky. It's either refreshing or very sour smelling. This one is ok. 

This is a fun little mask in the shape of lemon slices. There are a total of 12 slices. You can place them all around your face or mix and match with other slice mask. It's not exactly a practical mask, but it's just fun to use them. And for what it's worth, it does help to brighten my face a little. $6 from Sephora.

Another foundation that is way too light for me. I was given this, so it's totally nice of them but is just a wrong foundation for me. Not only it's the wrong shade, this is a luminous foundation. Means that it's not a matte one, so it's not something I will use. It's a watery one, but it's just pigmented. A bit goes a Long way. With just a slight pump, I can't seems to get the foundation to sheer down. It's just so thick on my face. Also, not sure why it's call silk, when it doesn't feel like one. But I'm sure this will suit normal to dry skin who wants a bit more coverage in their foundation. I'm just not it. 

They say to keep using this and it will eventually give you less blemishes. The first couple of weeks, these actually break me out. Well I have like a spot on each side of my cheek. It's just the weirdest thing. I continue to use them though cause I don't want to waste them. I got these at $39, so you know that's money. The cleanser is a foam, I usually use 2-3 pumps cause I find that it's quite little. I'm sure a pump is enough, but I don't feel comfortable with just a little foam. It cleanse alright. No squeaky clean feel. So it's quite nice. Clarifying lotion is ok. There will always be a layer of white settling on the bottom of the bottle. Not sure if I have to keep shaking the toner before use or something. The white residue should be the anti-blemish solution. Anyway, the toner is just ok. The moisturiser is an all over clarifying treatment. Not sure if I'm suppose to use a moisturiser after, but I just take it as this is it. It's a nice...

This is a good moisturising lipstick. It's a metallic finish, a deep shade that is perfect for fall/winter. Now if only we have that kind of weather here in Singaporea. The dark purple shade is surprisingly wearable. It looks good with just a simple eye makeup. It is also very comfortable and easy to apply. Lasting power is alright, leave a bit of a stain. But it's still alright. Sometimes dark lipstick leave the lips quite patchy. But this one is alright. So this is good for a fuss free deep colour lipstick. 

I like this a mini version of dropper. It's a good size even though it's only 2.8ml. I don't really use this that's why it's enough for me. Like this will last forever. This is basically a highlighter. You can also mix in with your foundation or moisturiser. A golden, shimmery, glittery sheen. It's so nice on the skin with a good tan. The shimmer is strong so if you like a good highlight, this is good. 

Not sure if my eyes are sensitive or this liner doesn't work on me. It watered my eyes. The few times I used this, it just doesn't work. It's a Super matte black eyeliner which is really nice. Retractable with a soft sharpener at the end of the pencil to point the tip of the liner. So it's really a good liner to have around with you all the time. Plus this gives a little time to smudge it around before setting down without any smudge. It also has no tug, which is good for the eye area. But I just can't wear this without watery eyes after. 

Work work work work work.. Rihanna has been busy. I didn't really get excited about this until I realised it's a launched that's happening worldwide. Usually a new brand from the West will not enter Singapore that soon. Anyway, I just decided to try their stick concealer. It is basically just a multipurpose stick. If you get a darker shade, it can be a contour, lighter, highlighter. I bought this online at Sephora sale. Original price is $37. I wanted to buy the trio stick but it was sold out.  So I got the shade in Sand. Based on online swatches, the shade seems right. In person, it's a bit darker. But when I went to Sephora to compare the other shades, a shade lighter is too light, and a shade darker is too dark. So Sand is the right shade for me.  Do I like this? It's quite easy to apply. Got this from a set of the 500 Sephora beauty point perk. I wanted something nice for 500 points. But seriously, it's just hard trying to get one I wanted that's not sold out. Marine Boosting Mist is 7ml, but it's the perfect handbag companion. It's small and pretty. The most is strong and the scent is lovely. I really like the scent. It's not ocean scent, but it's very tropical without feeling like the beach. It just reminds me of a holiday. Not sure if the mist do anything, but I guess it's just nice to have it around whenever I want a little refresher. Then again, it's not exactly refreshing. So a bit useless in the end. But it's nice to have.
