Random Eye Brushes

Before I became obsessed with makeup, I bought random brushes. Especially when it come to eye brushes. So here are the ones that lasted with me through this years. Elianto crease brush . As I love crease/blending brush. This is good as it is quite small. Perfect for small eyes and can be use for any purpose, really. Manicare liner brush . It is soft and good for gel liner. Well I hardly use it, but I like it when I happen to play with it. Essence lid brush . This is decently size. It is fluffy but not exactly the softest brush. Good at picking up pigments. Nobrand lid brush. This is like first brush ever. I love it. Until now I feel that it is the perfect size for my lid. It is slightly tempered at the top, so it can reach the inner corners of the lid very well. Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage brush is not suppose to be in this picture. This is a concealer brush. Good at doing its job as it has a pointed tip. Maybelline eyeliner brush . This comes free with the Maybelline gel eyeliner...

DHC Water Power Cleansing Cotton Pads

This isn't bad. In a pack, there is 5 sachets. Each sachet has 3 cotton pads. It's basically the size of cotton pads, so it's quite small. But it's soaked with makeup remover. So it's nice for traveling. You just need to bring this, and you are good.  It's wet, so quite good at removing makeup. Even waterproof mascara is able to be removed. So it's quite good to have this around.  I forgot how much this cost. I know it wasn't crazy expensive, but you can always DIY this. Just take cotton pads and soak it in makeup remover and sealed in zip lock bag. Done. Which is actually better. Cause this, if you only need one cotton pad, the rest will be wasted. I use this in hotel room, is the air con is still running the whole day I assume. So this doesn't dry out. I only use one pad a night. So yea, this is nice for anyone lazy.

Sephora Ultimate Warming Cleanser

I have this and the travel size from the Sephora gold card welcome gift. It's a very honey like cleanser. So it's hard to spread. Especially since you are suppose to use this on a dry face. But once you get it work in to the skin, it starts to get warm. Which is really the best part, cause it's just so pampering. Also, once it's foam up a little after a lot of scribing in, it gets easier to lather on the face. It cleanses really well too. Even with a wet face, I can feel a bit of warm, and it still work. As in, it still is a good cleanser. So a bit of water do help to lather up the cleanser.

CLIO Kill Cover Liquid Concealer

This is one of the most pigmented concealer I have. This is in the shade 4-BO which is still very light for me. It's a good shade for highlighting. This concealer makes my face very flawless. I guess cause of the pigments and the fact that it's a light shade. So it just make my face brighter. The best way to apply this is using your fingers. A beauty blender will only make it sheer out which defeat the purpose. The other thing I find that this is not a good undereye concealer as it kind of irritate it. So this is not a good all rounder concealer for me. I will still have to use another concealer for whole my face. But CLIO is a brand mostly for fair skin people. So they do not have darker concealer shades. Not sure if this is the darkest, but I see all mostly is this kind of shade. But yea, not bad.

Les Merveilleuses Laduree Makeup Coffret 3

Not exactly the prettiest picture I want to showcase the brand, but this just have to do cause I'm just too excited and I want to share this ASAP. All the products are made in Japan, except for the makeup bag. But the bag is so soft. The pink paper that wrap the products are also very solid and it's just good quality. But the products are made of plastic and rubber plastic kind, so they don't feel expensive at all. I was hoping for better actually. Especially since they're not cheap. But as a gift, I am overjoyed. As I been wanting to try this brand forever. The tinted lipbalm is a nice shade of rosy pink. It looks more red actually. The balm is very solid. It's quite hard to actually apply. I have to keep going over the balm. It just doesn't seem to melt under my finger. So I have to dip my finger like about 5 times to get the balm on my lips. The blush comes in a cute packaging. It's plastic, so it doesn't feel as grand. I was hoping to put this on my ...

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist

I don't really know what the purpose of this. But I feel that this is better than the Caudalie Beauty Elixir . The scent is much nicer. For a girl who doesn't like rose, I sure do have a lot of rose product. This is a very subtle scent. It's refreshing, very luxurious and just feels pampering. The bottle is suede finish, so it feels really nice on the hand. The nozzle is plastic, nothing fancy about that. It's sturdy though. The mist that come out is very fine. So fine that you can barely feel the mist on your face.  I really like this. Even though I really don't see the point of using this. But I do know that this is not good for oily skin. As after awhile I will have to blot my face. But do give this a try. It's super nice on the skin.

First Impression: H&M Charcoal and Volcanic Soil Mask

It was great to finally see H&M makeup range in Sg. I only bought some masks cause they're the only ones that intrigue me. I guess it's cause they are quite cute, the whole display of the pods. Each mask is $2.90 for 10ml, which is an average price. I actually think you can share a pod. Cause usually when you buy a mask it will be 50ml, but it doesn't mean you only use it 5 times. This is not resealable though, so it's just for one use. I actually wanted to try them all and do a comparison for all the different masks. But there were just too many of them. I will eventually try most of them I guess. But for now, I got the mask for pore cleaning which is suitable for blemish skin. It's a thick mask, but spread easily. I used them up onto my face and neck. Not a thin coat, but a full on coverage. It says to massage in and leave on for 10-15 minutes. The masks will tighten slightly but not enough to crack and peel off. You can rub it off, but it says to wash off wit...

TBS All-In-One Face Base

This is a powder foundation. The problem with this is that the colour is way too light for me. I can't use the sponge provided as it will be too obvious on my skin. So the only way to use this is with a fluffy powder brush. It's not exactly a powder for oily face. But after a few uses, it adjusted to my face. Or the other way round. I can use this to last for 8 hours. So I think it's really not bad. But yah, I don't use heavy moisturiser or serum so that could also help. It's not exactly my first choice when it come to powder. But this is quite pigmented if use with the sponge. So not bad. Just wished that I got a darker shade.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Light Cream

This is not bad at all. It's a light cream, so as long as I set my face, it doesn't leave me oily. I like it. It's light but really hydrate the face. Usually a 3ml sample, I can use about maybe 5 uses. This one however I only manage to get 2 and half uses. So it's light, you need quite a bit of it for the whole face. Would consider that in term of price per use. Nothing much else to say about this. So ya, not bad.

Colourpop Persuede Me

This is another Colourpop purchase. It's cheaper to buy in a set. US$5 instead of the usual $6 per pop. This is the famous lippie stix. This set has all the matte x formula. I was hoping that it will be very smooth and easy to apply, but as always with darker colours, it's not going to happen. The set is cool, cause it came with this box that has a magnetic closure and a good size mirror. So it's nice as a mini keepsake box or something. Very sturdy and a good size. The lippies came cushioned with a grey foam support which you can remove. (Update: I was wrong. The glue is stickier than expected. Therefore I have to cut out a piece of pretty paper to cover the damaged I made at the bottom.) The only sad thing about sets; you can't choose the colours. Sometime you will get a shade in a set that you already have. Or it's something that won't suit you. I bought this because I wanted to try these lippie stix. The colours looked good online. But in person, I was hopin...

Bobbi Brown Scotch & Soda Palette

This is a pass on palette given by a makeup artist. I just had to take the opportunity to play with it. It's a warm palette filled with a mixture of matte, shimmery and slightly frosty shades. They are all quite neutral with gorgeous highlight shades and a deep matte brown. I'm not a fan of black shadows, so dark brown is the perfect replacement shade for me. So this is an ideal eyeshadow palette for me. I love all the shades. I don't like the packaging though. I'm not a big fan of crocodile skin pattern kind of things. But I guess that is what it gives character to this palette. The mirror is a good size mirror. This is a good traveling palette.  Shadows are smooth, buttery. Easy to apply. Colours blend effortlessly. As always, end of day, the colours all seem to merge into one. Despite using primer, most of the time the shadows all look the same on my eyes. But if I just use a lid colour and a transition colour, it will not be so muted. So no complain. I think Bobbi B...

The History of WHOO Ja Saeng Essence

Self generation Anti wrinkle  Moisturising  Elasticity improvement  Better complexion It's an alright serum I feel. It's not overly oily. But it will leave my face oily in the end. So I only use this at night. I don't see much difference on my face. I think it's more suitable for normal to dry skin. So this doesn't leave me much of an impression.

Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash & Balm

These smells really really good. It has the mandarin scent. So it's very fresh but it has other scents too making not so fruity. It's quite a good blend of scents. The hand wash is typical. So nothing much except I enjoy it. For the balm, a little is all you need. I find that one pump is too much. It takes time to sink in. It's very moisturising, so I find that it's too much for a simple hand cream. But if it's something you use before bed time, it will be just nice.

Nexcare Acne Patch

I reckon I used up a lot of these sheets. These 2 are just some of the patches I have on hand. The "girl" one which is meant for female has smaller size patch. Usually it comes with some bigger and smaller ones. They are even some in cute shapes such as flowers or stars. The guys one is actually way too big for me. Sometime I will cut in half. Which I don't think you are suppose to. But it's quite good too cover an area of spots.  This is good for when the pimple is about to erupt. The white pus will come out soon. So this will sort of let the dirt come out and stick to the patch. I always find that those 3D pimples will reduce slightly with the use of this. It's very satisfying when you take this off and you see white stuff on it. It just show that the dirt has come off. It's quite fun. But Nexcare is a more expensive patch for drugstore. But I do it and will tend to buy in bulk during sales.

Illamasqua Eye Brow Cake

I just wanted to have something from Illamasqua. Then I decide to go for the brow product. The powder seems like a safe bet and I choose the shade Gaze which turn out to be a deep brown. It's almost greyish black actually. I like that it's pigmented. But I am not used to the darker shade of brow. So I am quite reluctant to use this. This becomes my weekend brow product. This will give me a very full, quite dark looking brows. The good thing about this is that it's long lasting. So I can use this and have no problem for the whole day.  I don't think there is many shades for this. But if there is, I would like to get a lighter shade. I like that the packaging is quite slim and it comes in its Illamasqua shape. So it's quite nice actually. There is a little mirror too. So it's quite nice. So yea, not a bad product at all. As long lasting brows is a must in my book.

MAC Syrup

I know ages ago I said it's nothing special about a MAC lipstick. But I just wanted one for work. A shade that is mlbb. A nice wearable shade appropriate for work. I choose MAC cause it felt save to have. I got the the shade Syrup which is a lustre finish. Now I'm in love with MAC. It doesn't disappoint. You can have dry lips, and this will somehow cover it slightly. It won't make your lips look super dry. The colour is not only beautiful, it's just so wearable.  Syrup has lived in my bag for months. It's the lipstick I bring with me everywhere I go. Cause I know if I was rushing and forgot to use one, Syrup will not fail me. It can also work as a top up lipstick. It's just versatile and suit every mood and occasion.  The scent is a nice typical MAC lipstick scent. The formula is creamy and feels comfortable on the lips. It's easy to apply even without a mirror. The tube is solid, so you know it won't break when you apply it. It just feels nice upon ...

False Lash Wings Butterfly Effect Fibers Mascara

I quite like the wand on this. The effect is surprisingly flattering. People comment that it will be hard to apply on both side, but I have no problem. You just have to adjust the wand accordingly. This is a very wet mascara. So much so that it smudges on me. After a couple months, this is still wet. I really feel that this will last forever. This is super black, and it will really show. Slightly under dramatic, but it will be quite flashy. It's lengthening and darken the lashes. At first this doesn't clump. But the more I use the more it starts to. I guess the mascara sort of get dryer. But not really also. Hard to really explain. It's just extra good for those who already have long lashes and want the extra length. In term volume, it gives some. But not as full. Curling power is alright, but average to me. Overall not that bad. I just wish that it's waterproof. I mean it's not as bad as it only smudge on application. End of day, it's alright doesn't smudge...

EcoTools Powder Brush

My first ever big giant brush. It's not giant. It's just a normal shape powder brush. I bought the 5 set brushes and I wanted one for powder. I remember this cost me $29.90 at Watsons. I was contemplating if I should get it. Cause it was not that cheap. $30 back when you are a kid, it really is not cheap.  But even after all these years, the brush still stands. It's still fluffy and the shape still quite tempered. However after washing one too many time and without the brush guard, the shape kind of a bit out. But in the end it is still a full brush, so it's good. I have softer brush now, but this is a good no fuss whole face brush.  I don't know if now $30 is consider cheap for first time brush users, but it's really a good bargain considering that this can last for years. I really will recommend this to everyone.

Biotherm Liquid White Gelee

I thought I try something different. This is an illuminating hydra plumping cream which is more I feel for normal to dry skin. But this a Gelee so it's more like a cream mix with a gel. So the texture is actually quite nice. I can use at night with no problem. In the morning, as long as I normall set my face with setting powder, I won't have the problem with oiliness too.  This is a 50ml jar, which is quite pretty with the ombré pot packaging to be on the dressing table. The cream itself is heavily fragrance. Which is why I think this doesn't help with my acne. I use this mainly cause my skin starts to get dry from the pimple cream. So naturally, a hydrating moisturiser is something I need. It helps combat the dryness, but some days I feel that this can be the reason my face is turning crazy again.  Anyway, I use this as a hand arm lotion, and it's actually very nice. My elbow are no longer dry. It also sinks in very fast. So it doesn't leave my body sticky. I shall...

Colourpop Foxy

I wanted to try Colourpop so badly. Wanted to make a purchase when they finally shipped international. But it's still expensive. So I happened to see my junk mail one day, and just nice they had free international shipping. So I bought a few stuff.  This is the Foxy Mini Ultra Matte Lip Collection. I never expect it to be so small. It's about half a pen size. It suit me just fine actually. It's a good way to try out different colour. Plus small is better as its tiny and fit into the bag much better. This is US$18, so with the bank rate, about SG$5.10 a tube.  The wand is a normal doe foot applicator. It is the most common of applicator so no comment. Usually I need to dip the wand again to get a fully opaque lips. It's a pigmented liquid lipstick, but a second coat just covers the corners and gives a better coverage.  The shade More better is a dark magenta shade. It's hard to get a clean line for this. I like that it's a deep shade but it will still brighten u...

IT Cosmetics CC+

Yay to free stuff! Heard so much good thing about this, so I just have to try this. I got the shade medium. It's quite a good match on me. It's not exactly a full coverage cc cream, but it helps brighten the face a bit. I still have to use concealers on my undereye and big spots. If not, don't need to really use concealer.  It's still thick on me I feel. On my face, it will turn quite oily eventually. But it's alright. To me it's nothing amazing. I don't really understand why people say it is. But despite it all, it feels light on the skin. So yah, I wouldn't repurchase, but I'm glad to have the sample to try.

First Impression: Blanc Expert Ultimate Whitening Bio-Cellulose Mask

There really is a difference between expensive and those $2/3 masks. This feels really good on the skin. It's the jelly gel type on one side. The mask is sandwiched between two netting. So you have to peel off one net then slowly from the chin area pat it into the skin. Once the mask stay on the face, peel off the remaining layer of the netting. It's very fun to do. Plus the gel side once on the face, feels really good. So it's just nice.  Without aircon, this feels cooling on the face. It has a light Blanc expert scent. I like that I only have to leave this for only 10 mins. It's also very moisturising and not sticky. It suppose to give me radiance, but I don't really see it. But oh well, it's a really nice mask.
