Hera Homme Leports Sun Cream

Specially bought this cause Hera is famous for its sunscreen. I got one for male cause it's matte. It has a typical sunblock scent with a normal white cream. I kind of miss the scent as I've been using mist spray which I really love. Anyway, this is light but a bit heavy too, cause I'm used to the sprays. It's sinks in nicely. Doesn't exactly gives a matte finish, but it's not overly dewy too.  After the rest of the makeup, it doesn't look like I have a layer of sunscreen on. But after a few hours, my face did get oily. Not extreme but quite obvious to me. So this even is for shine control, doesn't really do such a good job on it.  So not overly impress with Hera.

Boots Leave-in Conditioner Rosemary & Mint

I've been using this for months and there is still 3/5 of the product left. I don't know why there is so much left when I use this daily. And each time I use about 6 or 7 sprays or maybe more.  It's a plastic bottle quite comfortable on the hand. My hand is small, but still can be hold it nicely. The nozzle is not hard. Just a typical plastic spray. The mist not fine. Just a normal one. But it will go everywhere.  I like this as a leave in conditioner is quite nice. It makes combing hair easier. You are suppose to use on towel dry hair. So it's quite convenient. The scent also quite mild unless you spray a lot. My hair is not that long, so I can't really smell it. But it's just slightly minty scent during the spraying. It's not cooking or anything but I don't spray this on my scalp. I just spray on the ends to smooth it out.

Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream

Two samples, who ever thought I will lean more towards the light shade. Medium is way too dark and mixing them both tends to be slightly darker. The formula is quite nice a medium coverage, covers redness well. Blends quite easily too. I use a beauty blender, my fingers, and a brush and all can easily blend the cream.  It will fade after a work day use. And surprisingly doesn't make my face super oily. It has a nice SPF25. Overall not bad at all.

Gerard Cosmetics 1995

After seeing this golden bullet on so many youtuber table, I really want to get my hand on one. I choose one of their more popular shade - 1995. It's a brownish shade, made famous again by Jenner. I really like it. It's bold. Not so red, but still in your face kind. It's very pretty. One swipe is a bit sheer. It gives the colour but no kick. So two swipe is good.  It's a solid lipstick. So it's very hard and won't melt easily. But it glides on easily. I like it. Seems to suit me. But I don't know I guess it really do depend on my mood.  Updated: just after I wrote this and schedule it, the lipstick broke. So much for it being a hard lipstick. Oh well, had to melt it down and stick it back again.

Cover Fx Pressed Mineral Foundation

I wanted to own one Cover Fx thing. And I end up choosing this cause I am not really a big fan of liquid foundation. I bought this on sale for $52.80. I tried searching for the shade that will match MAC nc30/35 and Internet says that N35 is the right shade. But when I open this, my, the colour is quite dark. But when swatched, it actually blend into my skin really well. It's my exact colour. I'm like so wow by this.  I usually use the sponge provided to apply this. It's quite convenient as its just under the powder. So bringing this compact around is possible as the sponge is in it. The sponge is also quite dense and springy kind.  The powder has a light medium coverage. It blends easy but I just think that the claim of for oily skin is not enforced enough. It doesn't last long. I will have slight oily face especially around the nose by mid day. So I will not recommend this for super oily skin.  The compact is also made of plastic and the first time I take it out of the...

Kate 42

Kate lipstick came out with the nude series. I wanted to try one to compare the difference, but there is none. This is a creme finish and the shade is towards the pink side of nude. I wish it was slightly darker. I did not see which shade I wanted and everything was sealed. The only way to know for sure is from the bottom that wrote "42". That's roughly the shade of the lipstick.  This is pigmented but as it's more of a "milky" shade, careful application is a must. If not some of the colour will sheer through. I guess tapping is a good way to apply this, but I prefer using lipstick by gliding it across. So a but mix feeling about this. Sometime it works, sometime it doesn't. To me, the better Rimmel Kate Lipsticks are the darker solid color ones. They are just truly the easiest to work with and looks great on anyone.

First Impression: Leaders Clinic AC-Dressing Skin Clinic Mask

This is really nice. I always find sheet mask a bit normal. As in it is either too big or it will fit. Messy or not, and if it irritate my skin or not. Cause I feel every masks is quite good. A good pampering experience. It does its job. It's cooling. I typically like it. The only time I don't like a mask is when it's super messy to apply. And masks I don't like are the one that irritate my skin. So I'm not that chooses when it comes to sheet masks.  This however is one mask that I feel it's good. That I want to repurchase. Not sure what so special about this other than the fact that I enjoy using it. I usually prefer gel like masks. So this takes me by surprise too. I guess in the end, products like people, some you like some you hate some surprise you and some will leave u impress. This is one that I just feel connected with. I wouldn't buy again as I have way too mask masks, but if my house burn down, this is one sheet masks I will definitely buy.

Milk Face + Body Scrub

This smells exactly like aftershave. So I think it's really good for men. But after showering, the scent doesn't stay on. So it's good cause you won't smell like aftershave.  It's a scrub, it's quite harsh but it's moisturising. It is a little on the runny side so not those kind of lumpy wet sugar kind. So it applies easily on to the skin. But it doesn't lather, so you have to really use a lot to cover the whole body.  Even though the scrub is harsh, this is ok to be used daily, I feel. It's not so abrasive as it doesn't contain as much scrub if that makes sense. So on the face it's also just a very gentle scrub.  I got this from Sephora Sg online for $13. So it's quite decently priced. But I think this is only good for people without sensitive skin and who loves the scent of aftershave. Would recommend it for guys who just want a 2 in 1 product - face and body, so easy.

Kate Somerville Oil Free Moisturiser

Base on historical data, the one thing I consistently use is moisturiser. While I try out samples on occasion, I tend to stick to one full size moisturiser. And for 75ml bottle, it can last me about 1 and a half year with sparing usage. So despite the higher price, it's really worth the splurge. This time round I bought the Kate Somerville Oil Free Moisturiser. I wanted to try the goat milk one, but after seeing this oil free version, I feel safer choosing this option.  I was also debating between the FAB and this one. In the end I prefer this packaging. It's different. You have to press the pump down for the product to come up and gather at the opening base thing. Anyway this is 50ml, and cost $105. That's why I bought it during the Sephora sale. 20%, I managed to save $20+.  The product sometimes has a funky scent. But only if I press too much. So the way I use this is using about 1/2 or 3/4 of the the pump. So I press the pump in that strength. It's very moisturising...

Anna Sui Cheek Brush

This used to be one of my fav brush for blush. It's just a nice soft slightly tampered blush. It picks up the right amount of product. It distribute the right amount too. It just fit on to the cheek so nicely. I never really try this for other use, but I think that this can be used for bronzer too. Since the tip is kind of pointed, but spread out, so it will fit into the hollow of the cheek nicely.  I used this for so long and it still work. The bristle is still good. And there is no fall out when I wash this. It's a really good quality brush. The handle is also nice. The Anna Sui print is there making this a pretty brush on the vanity table. I don't think you can buy this individually as I got this with the makeup case. But it really is one of the good brush out there.

Shiseido Smoothing Eyeliner Pencil

This is just a black liner. In term how dark it is, you sort of have to press the liner or go over it twice. Cause just one run, it's not very dark. Too me it's ok, cause I don't really like too dark. It's soft and glide on easily. It just doesn't give a very neat line. I guess it's just a good liner for smudging. The other end of the pencil is a pointed quite dense sponge. I'm not a liner person. So to me it's just a liner.  When trying to draw a line on my lids, it's not very smooth. It's quite hard to get the product to transfer actually. It will not be a solid line. Even trying to dot it, it will not be a good line.

Makeup Geek Cocoa Bear

I always wanted to try MUG and I managed to buy one from beautybay at £4.68. Naturally I choose the shade Cocoa Bear. That's what Marlena call her boo. I always thought that it will be more brick brown, but instead it's a beautiful mid tone brown. The perfect crease colour I feel. It's not reddish, not grey, a good neutral brown. I am really happy with the shade.   It's smaller than expected. I don't know why I expect it to be bigger. It's only 1.8g but I'm sure this will last me a life time. The shadows are not smooth to the touch but it's super pigmented and there is no fall out.  It's a single shadow with a metal pan. The sticker at the back states clearly of the name of the shadow. So convenient. I put this in my z palette. And how I wish I could buy more of them. Anyway, this blends really nice. Without primer, can last for hours even though my lids turn oily. So I imagine with primer it will last longer. So yes, I do highly recommend this.

Rouge Volupte Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick - Nude Beige

Silly me. I specifically wrote down if I were to buy a YSL lipstick, which one I should get - shine oil in 44. Then, I bought this instead cause I had only 12 hours left to get the 12% rebate from Tangs. I got this for $50.  Did I regret? Sort of. This is the "milky" kind, so it's not really friendly on my lips. I have to tap instead of glide to get a better full colour. Anyway this is shade 1 in nude beige which is like A pinkish nude. But this is more pink. It's nice on the lips, but pigment doesn't spread evenly.  The other thing about YSL lipstick is the scent that people say it's very vanilla. While I guess it's true, it's really nice but there is a whole more brands that have nice scented lipstick too. The only thing I like about this is that it tasted sweet. I didn't eat it, but I can taste the sweetness.  The other thing I like about this is the moisturising property. Other than that, I feel the colour is wrong for me. The formula is nice, ...

Pacifica Jasmine Iris Oil Control Primer

This is a weird product. I get 3 different consistency from this.  At first it's a very oily primer. And I'm like are you sure this for oily skin? Then I think maybe it's the oil for oily skin. So with oil, your skin will think that there is enough oil on the skin so it won't produce more. But this just doesn't last. In a few hours my fave turn really oily. And the oily reason in the first place it doesn't look as oily is cause the rest of my fave product is very matte. So I've been putting this aside.  This cost me about US$19, so it's not exactly cheap. I just have to find a way to use this. So I google this. There really isn't much review on this. But I managed to find that it's quite a gel like consistency. But more reviews, I find that some actually think that this is watery which is like in turn very oily. Then there are reviews that say this gives a very flaky finish.  So after reading them, I tried it again. It's really watery and it...

Sebum Out Finish Pact

Nothing much to say about this. It's a nice small compact with white powder. Suppose to be quite transparent but it's quite whitening on me. I like that it's small and has a clear plastic cover to seperate the powder and the puff. A legit plastic holder not just a film. But it gets in the way, so I just throw it away.  The puff two side is different, one side is a sponge and the other side a fuzzy soft side. So you can use both side for different purposes. Not much a different. But I guess it depend if you are the type to glide, then use the fuzzy side. Or the type who dab, then use the sponge side.  It's a touch up compact. So will only work for such. A couple hours of oil control. It will not be good as a setting powder. I tried it but it just leaves my skin feeling oily super fast. So a bit regret buying this.

Genifique Yeux Light Pearl Eye Illuminating Youth Activator

The only thing I like about this the cooling metal tear shape applicator. It's really nice once it touches the skin. It's metal, thus cooling. Other than that, the serum doesn't seems to do much for me. I will still wake up with black eyes and puffiness. Granted I always sleep late and wake up early, but I really do want to see a slight improvement. I guess this is more brightening as illuminating is the same meaning? So not a good eye cream for me.

Honey Marc Jacobs

Among all the Marc Jacobs perfume, this is my fav. The scent is sweet but not sickly. It's those scent that you can constantly be surrounded in and still feels fine. Like hotel lobby scent. I guess if there is a home perfume in this, I will buy it.

Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara

I wanted to try this for so long. Cause someone wore this and it looks like she's wearing fake lashes. Her lashes look so full and she said this is what she wore. After 7 years later, I managed to try it.  It's a semi wet formula. So the formula is average. It coats every lash perfectly. In term how volumising it is, it does a good job. But it's not lengthening. It's not waterproof, so it smudge really easily. That's the thing I don't like about this. It's the smudging. No matter how I use it, it still smudges. So after awhile I give up.  When I try to use this again a month later, the formula started to dry a bit. So the volumising property is close to none. It became a normal mascara which I still like, but the smudging is there.  So this is a fail for me. Maybe it will be better for those with shorter lashes.

Ma Cherie Aqua Energy Mist

This smells so good. It's also really good to prevent some frizz to hair. It's like those hair oil except in a spray. It's meant to keep flyaway at bay. I guess it's just those spray that try to help to keep your hair neat and tidy. Plus this is a leave in treatment, so it's good for people who keep using hair dryer. This can be used on towel dry hair or dry hair. So it's perfect as it is easy to use. And you can use it any time.  What I like is that it really keep my hair very smooth and like those hair commercial kind of hair where there is no bit of hair out of place. Actually bought this for my sis who has super frizzy hair. For hair, it works for a few hours. At least sort of work. It helps a bit. Then, after several (5) hours, her hair is back to super frizz. So this just makes it a bit less frizzy, but still frizzy. Just that her hair becomes super smooth. So with constant use, it helps but doesn't really work as magical as to remove the frizz, but he...

Ciate Liquid Velvet - Wonderland

I had to give this a try. It's a nice liquid lipstick. It's very smooth and as it stated velvety. It's so pigmented the only problem I have with this is my own lip color. My lips is dark, so this doesn't suit me as much as I would love to. It's just more of a color shade instead of the nude like it should portray. Well at least that's how it appeared on the youtubers who worn them.  The wand is a slightly pointed flat tip. It's very good for application. Even so, I still cannot do such a clean line. In term of moisturising, it's not really. But it's not exactly drying also. It's like in between of a matte almost stain lip product and apocalips. I mean I like it. I just not sure on the shade.  Will repurchase? No.  In other shade? Yes!

Avene High Protection Lip Balm

This is a very nice balm. It's definitely nicer than the cold cream lip balm. I got this purely for the SPF30. It's very smooth and glide easily. It's not overly oily and not sticky. It's thin enough to use as a base. It's glossy enough to use on its on. So really quite versatile. I really do like it.

VOV Face Clear Concealer

The thing about Korean makeup is that the darkest shade is usually no. 23, which sometimes can be too light for me. Like for this, it is a bit too light for me. So this automatic become my undereyes concealer. But I'm lazy, so I use this on my spots too. This blends alright, but if you leave it for too long without blending, it kind of just "harden". So best to blend after applying.  It's smooth and glides on easily. It's very light on the skin, but once you start blending, it kind of get thicker. So I can say this is quite a medium coverage. Under the eyes, it doesn't crease. In term of lasting power, it is quite decent. A whole day at work? Yup! If going for dinner a light touch up is necessary. If you don't care, you don't have too.  This is a bit more "waxy" as compare to my Euciren cover stick. This is cheaper too. If this is the right shade, I will probably like this more. But for now, I like them both equally for different purposes.

IOPE Air Cushion Blusher

I want to try IOPE BB Cushion. But I still have my Laneige BB Cushion. So when I see this, I just grab it. I am not a big face person but when it come to makeup like lipstick, blush, mascara, etc, I can buy multiples. So this is just a cushion blush in the shade 01 and has a SPF of 30. A light pink, it's very sheer and gives a glow to the cheek.  I like the casing, albeit a bit bulky, but it look like it's made of glass. It's actually just a muted plastic. Drop it a few time and it doesn't break. So it's quite sturdy. Overall I like it ok. It's just too sheer and "glowly" for my liking. But it's a fun product.
