MAC Fix+

I get it. I understand why people love this. This is not a fine mist. It's a fine spray. But it's a spray. It will not be one press and you can cover the whole face kind. It is the you have to kept spraying to get the product out to distribute to your face. But it's really no problem. Cause it's just so good. For some reason, this doesn't annoy me. Usually spray like this irritate me. But Fix+ is comfortable. The droplet is fine and doesn't really annoy my face. This cost $29. I wanted the travel size, but they do not carry it. So this has to do. Fix+ is good. Cause it really help to prolong the wear of your makeup. It helps to mattify the face but doesn't make it dry. I don't know what is it but it just makes you want to keep grabbing it. I don't think I can ever not have this in my collection now. It's also very cooling and refreshing. I love it. I love all my sprays. But this, I will always need in my life.

Peripera Cushion Pang Ting

I like this. It smells like candy. It's so sweet and the packaging is so easy to use. It's a pen with a sponge applicator. So basically you just click on the product to come out; it will slowly stained the sponge and that's when you know the product is out. It's easy to apply and you can drag it across the lips or just dab it over. This can be used as a gradient effect, but the shade is quite light so it doesn't contrast very well.  My Mine Peach is a light milky pink. It's just very sweet and surprisingly none streaky. It did stained my hand after the swatched, but on my lips not so much. Not sure if the colour is too light so the tint doesn't show as much or what. Nonetheless it's still a beautiful wearable colour. I really enjoy this.  I bought it at about $12 on sale. It doesn't have much selection in term of colour. Cause most of them is red, pink and orange. It's just in those family colour tone. I wanted a more neutral shade so I can wear ...

For Beloved One Melasleep Brightening Daily Defence Cream

This is a skincare item. I guess it call itself a dd cream. And the dd stands for daily defence. It's a peach tone cream to target yellowish and uneven skin tone. You are suppose to apply it on to the skin before sunblock. Which is quite weird actually. Thankfully my sunscreen is now the mist, so that makes everything much more convinient. They say to use this together with powder for a natural glow. I mean I use powder to lock everything in and to have a matte face. So it doesn't do well for me these instructions.  The product itself is good. It suits my skin tone. But it will leave me oily after 5 hours of wear. So that's the downside. But I don't really mind this, cause it really bring out the best in my skin. It really even out my skin, and as a quite medium to full coverage, it really covers imperfections. Only the undereye need extra concealing. So I really do recommend this for those who have combi or normal skin and looking for a "tinted moisturiser" w...

Kiss My Face Shimmer - Ruby

This is totally like the Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer . The shape, the scent and the mint. It's exactly alike. I can't remember how much this cost, but it's cheaper. This is in the colour Ruby, which is quite sheer. It's still a nice pink shimmer but if you need more colour, this won't be good. But this is good for those dry lips. It won't help to make it better, but it sort of hide the dry skin.  I always like this kind of thing, just the BB is not the right shade. But I like how this is so slim. It's really good for front jeans pocket - it's pretty invisible. So yea. Not bad.

Rachel K Radiance Illuminator Hydrogel Mask

Is Rachel K the brand even active now? I saw this in my notes and so I guess forgot that I have to blog about it. It's a gel like texture mask. So it's really fun to put on. A bit messy, but it's a nice feeling.  It has 2 layers. One for the top face and one for the bottom. The jelly is quite fragile, a bit of nail and it can tear apart. But I do enjoy using this. This is for normal, oily and acne prone skin, which I don't really feel it. Also you are suppose to put this on for half hour to 40 mins. So that's quite long. I don't really feel much different using this. It also doesn't say to need to use this more than once, etc. So after using this twice, I really don't see much difference to my skin, other than I just enjoy using the mask.

Biore UV Perfect Spray

Saw this at my HDB local store and it's $2 cheaper than Guardian. Of course I have to grab it. Apparently they have the jumbo size one, but I just wanted to try to compare this and the L'Oreal UV City Mist . So the major different is the spray nozzle. This is more plastic looking but surprisingly in term of press, this is alright. It's comfortable to use and the spray is very fine. It's really just mist. So it's a good sunscreen really.  This, they say can be used for body, face and hair. It won't make you oily. I guess that's why you can use it for hair too. I have a body UV spray and a hair one too. But this basically just said can be use for all. I guess all the sprays can be use for all, but I feel more comfortable knowing that they test it out to be used for such purposes. I am just scared of oily hair and oily face.  So yes this is just as good as the L'Oreal one and it's much cheaper too. But I do feel a bit heavy after a few hours. Like, ther...

Apocalips Matte in Atomic Rose

The apocalips in Atomic Rose, a matte pink nude shade. It doesn't appear matte though. The colour is darker than normal nude, so it is very complimentary. It's more rosy. It's smooth and easy to apply. It is a beautiful shade. It is pigmented and doesn't appear blotchy. Even just a thin coat, it will cover the whole lips nicely. If your lips is kind of dry with chapped skin, the flakes can be seen. But it's not so bad. Cause the colour is so thick, that it just makes you identify which dry skin you can just peel off. Weird, but it's the thing I will do.

Estée Lauder Advanced Time Zone Night

Not sure if all Estée Lauder cream smell the smell, but the scent is exactly like the resilience lift day cream. This is also quite on the thin side. So it's quite easy to blend into the skin. While it's a nice small sample size, it's meant for traveling but I feel that it's so hard to used up. The more you use the more you have to dig into the tub. So as always, it's not my fav kind of packaging. The cream itself is just so so. I don't see much difference using this. It's also not something I will keep grabbing. So a bit waste of money. And for someone who love scented product, this can be a bit sickening for me. Therefore this is not good for anyone who are sensitive to scent.

Laura Geller Baked Highlighter - French Vanilla

The other day, I was looking to apply highlighter with a fan brush when I realized I did not have a powder highlighter. I have a few of the bronzer highlight or the tiny theBalm highlighters. But no proper highlighter compact, none that appeal to me at least. So I got this cause Becca is slightly too expensive for me to play around. This is a small compact. Not sure if it's the full size or what.  The colour is gorgeous. It's really a French vanilla kind of shade. It's not overly glittery. It just gives the right sparkle. Especially with a fan brush, this gives a very subtle if not a hint of glow - just a tiny bit. I haven't see how highlighters are an advantage to me. As in sure I have those samples or in palettes and they are pretty. They will gives such a nice glow to the cheeks but honestly I don't see how it's something I need. I'm glad I have this, and I'm sure you can see the sparkle. But it's not something people will go and say wow. So yes, ...

Coc Travel Brushes

Bought this for traveling. Ok I lied, bought this cause it's a black handle, white bristle with pink tips. It's tiny, and a set comes with 3 face brushes, 5 eyes brushes and a lip brush. So it's really good for traveling. But the case has died, after 3 years. Which is a pity, but small brushes is easy to fit into any old case.  The 3 face brush. The biggest one is a simple fluffy brush. Small and cute, it's soft and prefect for powder. The angle brush is ok for blush or bronzer. It's soft and fluffy too. There is smaller dense brush which I think is good for concealer. This might be created for foundation maybe, but I feel that it is a tad too small for that. Concealer is perfect.  A smaller version of the "concealer" brush is good to pack eyeshadow base. It is quite tampered at the end, so it can be used as crease brush too. Then, there is smaller one. I use this for packing darker shadows. Can also be use for concealing. Angle brush is a bit broad for li...

Benefit Tints and Beam

Love this trio. It is either $37 or $32 in Sephora. It comes with 3 tiny 4ml Benefit's tint/beam. Albeit pricey, but it's good to try these out. The packaging is so cute and it comes with a brush like nail polish.  Poise Tint is a poppy pink tinted lip and cheek stain. It's a good pink and will really stain the cheek. So the way to use this is to dap on one cheek and blend and do it on the other side. On the lips, I'm surprise the colour do transfer nicely. My bottom lip appear more bright cause it's lighter naturally. But overall it's not patchy. Sun Beam is a golden bronze complexion highlighter. Really gorgeous on the cheek. I dot this on the cheek and sometimes use it on the brow bone. It's a really beautiful highlighter. Cha Cha Tint is a mango tinted lip and cheek stain. It's just an orange shade tint. Surprisingly this looks good on me too. It appears more light red on my lips. Again for the cheeks, just brush it on and blend. This can appear q...

First Impression: Lovemore Snail Mucin Eye Repairing Mask

This is such a neat idea, but such a pain to put on. It's messy and it doesn't fit my face right. But once you get over the mess, then it's actually quite nice. The mask is translucently thin. It's cooling but I don't see much a different using this. It's just relaxing I guess. And it stuck on your face, so no worry of it falling off. But the mess, I rather use a one sided gel kind of patch.

Estée Lauder Resilience Lift Lifting/Sculpting Eye Cream

I've been using this for awhile. Tiny jars are cute, but when the product get used up, it's just a pain to use. It's quite gross dipping your finger in. And it's hard. The only way I can is using my nail to scoop up the product. Or using Q-tip to dip in.  This is quite a thick cream, but it's thin when you apply it. Doesn't help with black and puffy undereyes, but I guess this is more for lifting. So good for older age group. Then again, never too young to apply anti aging. Overall, it's ok. But I do prefer cooling eye cream that helps to reduce appearances of dark circle.

Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Firming/ Sculpting Face and Neck Creme

Been using this this for some time. The cream is lighter than the eye cream. It smells perfume like. So that can be a turn off for some people. It smells ok to me. This is for normal or combination skin, but it's quite oily for me. They say to use this in the AM, but it's really not something I will use in the morning. It feels good, just feels oily. It has SPF 15. So ya. It's good but not a fav.

Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Cream

This is so adorable. It comes in a glass bottle and the cream is just cute sitting there untouch. Now it's a bit messy.

Lucas' Papaw Ointment

The one thing I wanted from Aussie is this. I think I got this for about $6 less from Priceline. There are just so much papaw ointment around. Some in tube, like this, some in jar, some is specially for lips and some in different flavors or something. I just get this as it should be the original. I never expect it to be so many.  My lips have been so chapped, it's crazy. So I used this. And I can tell that this help. Not on the first night, cause the next day my lips are better but still slightly dry. The next night I apply this again before I sleep, and I woke up with brand new lips. It's so good.  It's just the scent. You just have to get used to it. It's a fermented scent. So just really have to get used to it.

Etude House Drawing Eye Brow

I bought 3 shades of Etude House brow pencils. This is the one that comes in a twistable triangle pencil and a spoolie on the other end. The product is slightly waxy, so it will tame the brow at the same time. I like that it is a bit triangle, so it's easy to shape the brow. You can make it thinner or fatter depending on which area you focus on. It is also long lasting, so no problem with having to touch up. If needed, touch up will be easy.  Shade 3 is a brown which suppose to have a hint of grey, which I guess you can say that. But it's just not so obvious. On me, it looks alright. But sometime brown can be a bit too indifference. Shade 4 is a dark grey. It's almost as close to black, but it's not so dark. On me it does appear quite dark, but I just feels quite conscious using this. Shade 5, is a light grey, which is the one most suited to me. Or so I think. It still looks dark, but it's alright. It's quite hard to swatch on the back of my hand, but on the bro...

It's Top by Italy Lip Pencils

I thought I just try these 2 out. I got one matte and one satin. The black packaging Matte Lip Pencil is in the shade 5. It's a beautiful coral, more towards peach. As a matte lip, it's very drying. And with my dry lips, it really is the worse. The colours is quite light on me. So it doesn't transfer well. Even on normal less dry lips days, this doesn't look as good. It still emphasis the dryness. Not sure if it is the colour or the overall formula of the matte pencil.  Satin Lip Pencil on the other hand is a beautiful nude that is quite lovely on the lips. This is in the shade 6. It transfer well on the lips and yes it still show a bit of the dryness, but it is not as bad. I prefer this obviously, but the formula is really much better. It's smoother and more comfortable on the lips.  I can't remember how much these cost. But if I'm not wrong it's $8+ each. So, not really worth actually. It's better to get the MUA one.

the SAEM Tip Concealer

I'm a little bit crazy on concealers this year. My face is so bad that all I did and do is - conceal and hide and cover. That's all synonyms, and that's the sad truth about my face. My mindset is that I have to try every concealer out there. But first I will get all the affordable ones. This cost me $5. It has a SPF28 and it's only 1.5g. The picture is quite dark, but the shade is probably a Mac NC25. It's too light for me. So it's only good for under the eyes. I think this is in the shade 21. I'm not too sure.  It's a medium to full coverage so that's nice. It dries very fast, so you have to work fast. It leave behind a sheen, so it won't makes you look flat. I wish it's in the right shade. But it looks alright. It looks good under my eyes. It covers just enough. I guess cause it's pigmented, so it does its job. Plus it brighten the area too. That's a bonus. But if undereyes are too black, this covers, just still can see a bit.  It...

Guerlain Powder Brush

Not sure where I got this from. I hardly use this as I don't want the pink to be tainted. Such a silly notion, but it's pretty. Then I stained the handle by putting it in a container with blue sands. The sand taint it. So I started using using cause it's no longer as precious. Am I the only one who is like this?  Anyway the brush is not the softest but it is fluffy. It picks up the right amount of pigment. I guess this is to be use for the Meteorites. So it really good for super pigmented blush or shiny powder that is meant for highlighting the whole face. Cause this is a small brush but more suitable for face or maybe cheek. So while we always look for the softest brush or the most pigmented blusher, I think sometimes it's good to have not so soft brush or less pigmented blush.

Emu Oil Moisturising Cream

Emu oil moisturiser! It's a cream, not sure if you can use this on the face, but I guess so. I just use this as a body lotion. It's not exactly a thick cream. It's just not that easy to blend into the skin. It just becomes "thick" and takes a while to sink into the skin. If you use a little, it will be easier. It's very moisturising though. Perfect for the cold weather. Perfect for fall or winter. Once it sinks in, it leaves your skin feeling smooth. The scent is really nice too. Can't describe what it is, but it's a good scent. Probably a fake nice scent, but it's still good. This is not that expensive too. Can easily buy this in supermarket. Aussie supermarket is a good place to buy cosmetic. This is 250g, and after using it for awhile, I still have a lot left. Not sure if I will be able to finish it at all. So it's a good buy for really dry skin.

Instant Pretty Eye & Cheek Palette

I wanted to try Bobbi Brown and this is just the perfect palette to get. It's perfect for traveling. I don't know why I always say good for traveling, but I never bring any when I go oversea. This comes with a 4 eye shades and a pink blush. It's compact and they even throw in a mini eye brush. Brush is soft and good enough for a base and crease.  The shadows are not the best in pigmentation. It's also not the softest. It's alright I guess, but not my first choice if I were to choose all over again. The lightest shade is a creamy off white, almost beige. Doesn't show on my kid, cause it's just too light. There is a shiny pink shade. It's a frost light pink. It's good for inner corner or just to add a bit of shine on the lid. The taupe light brown shade is very light. It doesn't swatch well. The dark brown is the only one that you can really see. This one is really good for shadow lining. Regardless, I still feel it's something that I can use o...

Astor Soft Sensation Lipcolor Butter - Hug Me

This is the best colour for work. It's colored but neutral enough. It's glossy but tame enough. It is a pen with a flat angle lip product. So application is a breeze. It's very smooth yet it has micro glitter. So the colour is not flat. But not too shiny and striking either. I love it.  On the tube it appear to be dark maroon like pink, but it's quite sheer. So on the lips it is just a kiss of colour. Pigmented enough but not too over the top. So it's really good for everyday wear. I really really like this and recommend it to everyone if you find it.
