Foreo VS Clarisonic

I originally bought the Foreo cause people say that in the long run will save your money. So I tried it for about 2 months and no matter what, I just had to get the Mia. I was just curious to compare the two.    Bought this at airport. It's the US version so the plug is the only one I have to use an extender. It's not as bad as I seldom charge it. At first I was like damn, this only last for 1 hour and I realise that 1 hour is actually at least a month of use. And if you don't use it everyday, it will last a whole lot longer. I like that the charger is magnetic. So it's really unique, at least to me. I also like the cleanser. It's very gentle yet effective at removing makeup. It doesn't break me out and I do think that it helps make my skin better.  The tool itself has 2 speed setting. And I think it's a waste of money to get that as I don't even bother changing the setting. It will automatically off once you use for that one cycle. So that's nice or...

Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water

There is 2 things I'm quite obsessed about recently. One is micellar water and the other is facial mist. I've been trying to buy and collect all the affordable brands and try them out. With mists, at least there is the 50ml, which is small enough and way cheaper.  So I really like the Avene one. The most is so fine that you don't feel like it touch your skin at all. But it's there alright, cause everything else will sort of get wet and you will feel that. Like my shirt for instance or the floor. I'm just bad spraying things okay?! I do feel that this refreshes my face and really help to calm down any irritation. It doesn't claim to be any makeup setting or what, but I do use it as that. I have to make sure my face don't appear powdery. This is good for that. I feel that it also sort of set my makeup in place. I mean no proof of that, but my makeup seems to be able to last longer. I don't know, it's just feel that way. Maybe it's in my head. But...

Matte Creme Lip Crayon

I was so happy walking into Sephora at Pitt street, as I saw so many brands that is not selling in Singapore. I saw the Formula X too, but I just can't decide what colour to get so I didn't get any. Then the next counter I spend a lot of time on is at Bite Beauty. I want everything, but I don't need anymore lip product. So I decided to just get one to own something from the brand. I wanted the matte shade and R choose the colour for me.  I got the the crayon in Peche. It retails for AU$30. It's a very bright beautiful candy red or you can say candy pink. Cause that's the colour when I swatched. When I try it on my lips at home, it appear more orange like. I don't know how I feel about it. I just wasn't feeling it.  It's smooth and as a crayon is easy to apply. I feel it's like the same as the L'Oreal pen. So it's quite disappointing actually, as the latter is much cheaper. But upon further testing, it's quite different. This one is more l...

Sephora Mud Mask

Had to buy this cause I heard good reviews. Plus I want to compare this to GlamGlow. I know it's quite impossible to compare, but nothing wrong with trying out.  This is said to be purifying and mattifying. And no, my skin doesn't get less oily with frequent use. So no difference in that. It's a very cool dark mask, just like all mud mask suppose to be I guess. It doesn't smell any less weird that any mud mask I'd tried. In fact, I do like the scent of this. It's quite deep and calming to me. It applied easily and will dry matte. Unfortunately not a peeling mask, so you have to wash it away.    It's quite a painful mask if I'm honest. But no pain no gain, so I continue to use it. It doesn't tingle, but it just hurt my face. Like my cheeks will just be in pain. So I don't really leave the mask on for too long. Maybe 5 minutes if it's unbareable, then I wash it away. Then again, I notice that it happened cause my face is not perfect. I have spo...

Acqua di Gioia Eau Fraiche

Armani launches its new fragrance Acqua di Gioia Eau Fraiche in early 2013. The fragrance is a new version of the original Acqua di Gioia perfume from 2010. Other editions include Acqua di Gioia Essenza from 2011 and Acqua di Gioia Eau de Parfum Satinee from 2012. Acqua di Gioia Eau Fraiche is a fresher and lighter version of the fragrance that celebrates natural beauty. The composition is inspired by delicate breeze, gentle shower of water and soft green leaves. Aquatic notes are more pronounced, while the floral are softened compared to the original. It opens with sparkling notes of grapefruit, Primofiore lemon and mandarin peel leading to the floral - aquatic heart of ylang-ylang, jasmine tea and jasmine water. In the background, cedar wraps around musk and brown sugar to provide long lasting effect. It's a very fresh high end EdT. Has a very light floral scent. First spray is quite strong and it lingers on to a light mix scent and in the end it become quite jasmine scented. I...

Savoir Faire Lipstick

At first when I saw this, it's such a cool case. It's metal and magnetic. It's also shorter than most lipsticks. This is in the shade Miss You. It's a a nude pink shimmery metallic shade. It's not exactly shimmery on the tube, but it is when swatched. It doesn't look good on me. It's very pale on me. It is very patchy on. It's horrible and show off my dry lips. So it's quite sad. I'm not sure if it is the color or if it is texture of the lipstick.  If the shade suit me, it's a really beautiful lipstick. Cause it is so smooth to apply. It feels very buttery on. But it doesn't wear well. Really such a pity.

MAC DSquared Sculpt and Shape Powder

Totally forgot about this. Found this in one of my old luggage. This is in Accentuate Sculpt. It is one side a soft light pink shimmery highlight and another a medium matte brown. My aunt used this a lot until she sort of hit pan on the contour powder and pass it on to me. It was so long ago, maybe 5 years or so?  The colours are alright, I mean I should throw this away. And see how much of the contour is used up. Actually not a lot. It just cracked and tossed aside. But the brown is really a nice tone for crease and light contouring. It's great for beginners too. As it won't emphasized the contoured. I guess cause if your skin is darker, it won't really show.  Oh well, but you see, I should really not buy anymore makeup. I just have too many and I can never finished them up. Except face powders, eventually I will hit pan.

Clean It Zero

Decided to get the pink one as it's the original. It's a really good cleansing balm. I mean I don't have any other to compare it with. I have oil and cream though. So as compare to those, this is more fun. Cause it's a solid but it just melts away and form up. It becomes oily and melt away the makeup. So a little goes a long way. And I find that this can last so much longer than oil.  A pink tube comes with a plastic scooper. So it's really "hygienic". I just think it will be good only for people who have their own bathroom or at least their own counter in the bathroom that others can't touch. If not it's just so messy. I put mine in my room in the box. So it's quite troublesome to remove the box everytime I want to use it.  But it's a really good balm. Cause it removes makeup. It's not overly oily. It feels moisturising. It doesn't feel squeaky clean but still very clean that kind of feeling. It takes sometime to rinse it off, bu...

Chapsticks 2

Nivea Essential Care is a last minute purchase. Was desperate for a lip balm, and so grab something on sale. It is alright. Nourishing enough, but I mean the price is that much, you can't really expect miracle. But I do like it, just that I find it quite boring. Sanoflore Baume Levres Nourricier comes in such a cute packaging. The balm is drying, so it is quite hard to actually use. I guess a lip brush will help, but that is just so troublesome. This is also not cheap, I want to say €7, that's like $11 to me. Ok fine, $11 for 12g is actually quite a fair price. But I really think that the product is quite hard to use. Hurraw Moon Balm is suppose to be use before bedtime. It is so-so. Not the most nourishing balm for night time, but if your lips is not chapped, this will be good. As it hydrates but doesn't stick to your pillow kind. A normal balm, I feel. I just do not like the smell of this. It is suppose to be calming and relaxing, but just not my kind of scent. Cococar...

First Impression: Snail Solution Mask Sheet

This is a really wet mask. It's quite sticky actually. It's not really cooling, so that's surprising. So I guess you have to put this in the fridge. It doesn't smell anything weird or like that. It's quite a tightening mask. It's also ultra hydrating. Lots of essence left on the face I just not a fan on the sticky feel. Other than that, everything is good.

CDP UV Protection Cream

It's really something. CDP is really quite expensive. So it's really nice to receive sample. But it just doesn't suit me at all. I feel that CDP is so much more suited to people with dry skin. It's also more suited to fairer skin girls. For some reason it just doesn't work as well for me. It's a bit too rich. So it's quite oily for me. It is not a good look. Quite a pity. So now I'm using primer with SPF instead.

Sephora Blush Brush

I have $20 vouchers so it was just nice seeing this at a sale. I cant remember how much, but I think it was $16. Anyway, I just wanted this as it was a retractable brush. It will be nice for travelling. So I got it, regret it. It is not a soft brush. I like the retractable part. But the brush is quite hard. I mean it is fluffy and "soft" but its prickly. I don't like that. Plus the thing about retractable is that it is hard to wash. Cause water will just get inside and it may get stuck or something. Maybe its in my head, but it is just not as easy to clean as the others.

HD Brows Eyeshadow Palette

It's a gift with purchase. It's HD Brows, which sadly I never heard before. All I can think about is that it should be a good brow product kind of brand. So an eyeshadow palette is not so interesting to me. This is the shade 002 Foxy. It's a very pretty neutral palette with 5 shadows and a dual ended brush. The brush is not bad.    Bare - a base peachy white. Very smooth, a reflective colour. It's a satin finish.  Golden - a bronze gold. Glittery, pretty for all over lid. I like to use it on its own.  Honey - a light ashy warm brown. A slight satin.  Bronze - metallic glittery bronze. Real pretty.  Truffle - deep glittery brown. Pretty for outer corner. Pretty for lid too.  I do love the colours. They are all wearable. Doesn't swatch as wow as others, it's quite hard to get the colour capture right, but on the eyes is superb. It just blend well. The colour will show through. With primer, it will last. Can be use for day or night. It's basically my kind...

Kate 03

A nude for now. It looks rather alright. More on the pink side. My lips creases is quite obvious though. And the lipstick kind of feather out. So careful application is needed. But with all Kate lipsticks, it's smooth and pigmented. Easy to apply. I like it.

Maracuja Creaseless Concealer

The first time I used this, a lot of "oil" came out. Then the product felt like it was half empty. I kept searching online if I got a used product. Some people did comment the product seems very little and will run out very fast. So I guess, ya ok, that meant it has very little product.  My shade is light-medium. It doesn't look like the right shade, but once blended, it will blend nicely. It's also quite long lasting. Great for undereyes. It's a bit thick, at least it feels like that. But it is opaque when blended, so that's quite nice. As it doesn't feel heavy.  It's not bad. Really. It just doesn't feel like it's worth your money. Cause it seems really empty. Like half of the product is gone. But I mean a little goes a long way, so it's alright. Still a bit on the fence about this. So I don't know. I will finish it up, but I probably will not repurchase. Then again, I do like that it is such a full coverage concealer. Hmm..

Collagen Moistfull

Peeling wash, just another facial cleanser that suppose to remove your dead skin cell. I don't really like it as I feel that it broke my face. There is just something about it that make me not want to use it.  Toner, very normal.  Eye cream, I like it cause it's small. Pointed tube, so a small amount is disperse each time, which is nice.  Moisturiser, a bit too thick for me. I don't think it's good for oily skin. Collagen do sort of tell you is for mature skin, so it won't be good for oily.  Overall, not really a fan. Except the eye cream, cause it's eye cream. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Burberry Fresh Glow Foundation

This is so not meant for oily skin. But it's burberry, how can I give this up? This is in the shade Honey, no 32. The shade doesn't suit me as much. It is a bit too yellow in my experience. But, if I use a little, it will be quite alright. It blends quite nicely, a medium to full, mainly full coverage. But this just leaves me oily so fast. So it is just not for me.
