The Stuff I'd Used

Behold. My last £1 red lipstick. Well should be the last. Don't get me wrong. I still have a lot of red lipsticks I've yet to post out, but this is the one of the last red that cost £1. I really do like these inexpensive lipsticks as I get to try as many color and finishes as I like without breaking a bank. Plus it is so much fun trying a whole of color when I am just the kind of person who get bored so easily. They say that cheap lipsticks is not that good for the lips. But I feel if you take of your lips every night before you to bed, your lips will be pampered that cheap lipsticks will not spoil it. Plus drinking lots of water is really the one thing that help a lot. So this is a darker red, which is really what I like to wear to a more mature dinner where I want to appear more serious. Plus it is the only red that I have that is quite dark. Most of my red is on the brighter bolder red. So this is nice as it is just darker, more mysterious. A glossy finish helps to just make...

Let's get right to it. I am not a fan. Cause everytime I use this, my face doesn't get clean off properly. The make up doesn't get removed properly. Even though there is oil in it and there is the word eye remover, it still is not a strong makeup cleanser. I guess it will work well for anyone who doesn't use a lot of makeup.   

This is just a sample. A really cute one at that. I really like how this is basically just a piece of card and ya it has powder sample in it. This can be used like what 4/5 times. This has a SPF22 and in the color OC410. Looks light on when swatch but it blends well on my face. Kind of a more fuller coverage, and can look quite powdery if used a lot.  It can be used wet or dry. If wet, it is better actually. It actually sinks into the skin better. I mean it blends in better. More like a creamy foundation.  It also last a good amount of time. Kind of prevent my face from being oily, kind of, but will still be. So touch up is needed. I am not sure if I really like this. I feel that I need one more sample to try it out. But so far so good.   

A moisturizing mask perfect for my skin. I've been using a lot of pimple cream so my skin is kind of dry. So this is really good at bringing moisture to my face. I just have to leave on for 15 minutes and my skin is back to normal. This can also be used a moisturizer as long as a thin layer is apply. But don't like that as my skin is still the oily type, so it just made my face oily after a few hours. So yes as a mask, no as a moisturizer. But good for anyone with dry skin though. 

Can you tell I love red? This is more of a classic Dior red. It's more on the warm tone red. It's really so pretty for a night out. I guess picture is quite blur, but it is pretty on the lips. It's a brighter red, so I will only use it on days where I feel more bold. It's very similar to MUR Lady that I feel it's one of the same. Like all MUA lipstick, it's very nice and easy to use. Inexpensive too. Love it.

This is a very light serum. It smells nice. It basically is to renew the skin to be radiant and clear. It absorbs into the skin rather quickly but it feels slightly sticky on the skin. Plus I feel this break me out. After using for 2 days, zits started forming. So not my favorite serum.   

There will just be those days when you decide to buy something luxurious. In this case, it is Chanel singles. The casing just makes me so happy. Sand is a typical neutral brown. It is actually quite light and it's not so pigmented. I don't really think that this is a good quality product. It is quite patchy.  First swatch is uneven. So it has to be layered. On the lids, it is ok. It is just a plain neutral shade. I like it for the crease or for all over lid color. Overall it is an easy color to use. And of course there is the factor when you use it, you'll be happy cause it's Chanel.    

It's the only £1 red I have that is glittery. It's different is that this is sheer. Its glitter is not that obvious. but it is very shiny. The shine is the shimmery shine. It's also more on the sheer side. So two layers make it more pigmented. It's not as smooth as the others when applied but it is alright on the lips. Inexpensive, beautiful color and comfortable on the lips. What's there not to like. Really great option for anyone who wants a red but not a full on bright lips.

Some picture is bad, and this is a bad one. The swatch on the lips is ok, but the lipstick doesn't show its potential. OMG is a pink coral color lipstick. It just look orange on the packaging but when swatch depending on the lighting, it can look coral or pink. It is actually very pretty and has a potential to be good. But it is quite drying on my lips. It just looks so dry and my lips don't  look smooth. It only looks better with gloss on top. And the gloss is your chunky. So I just prefer to use a glossier balm on top. Pretty color but not my favorite. 

The perfume opens with notes of orange blossom. Jasmine is in the heart, including both Grandiflorum and Sambac, whereas the base consists of cedar, patchouli and rose honey accord. Personally, this edt is more of a florally scent. I like it, I just am not sure what flower it is. Maybe it is orange blossom but I don't know what orange blossom smells like. It's also sweet smelling and very light. Especially for edt, it is so much easier to wear. The best part of this perfume is that the scent is not overpowering. I can smell it when I put my wrist under my nose, but just generally then no. So it's a really good, light daily perfume to be use in the day.   

So I tried the CdP tendre version , and I did not like it. This is the fresh version, and it is alright, but I still don't like it. I don't generally like CdP products. I feel they are better catered to dry mature skin. I sure do like some of their products. But just at this moment, I wasn't such a big fan. This one just makes my skin very white. Like has a little white cast, other than that it wasn't as bad actually. But yes it will leave my skin oily after sometime. So yah. 

This is kind of a mixture of sunscreen and serum and foundation. I guess it's more like a bb cream. I will put this under tinted moisturizer. But this is a really nifty product to own. It's so easy to use. The color is kind of a shade light for me. But it does blend into the skin really well. It doesn't look oily but it's moisturing. It has a SPF of 30. It really is one of the best product I've used this year and that's really something.  The Ginza is under Shiseido. I am not sure if it is a sub brand or it is a collection. I'm really bad at researching. But   

Gloss in a tub? I'm not sure they call this a gloss or it's just to seperate them from the norm of lipbalm in pots.     Anyway this is a gloss in a sense that it is glossy. It has glitter in it. Slightly sticky during application. But on the lips, they are nice. It's not sticky, it's hydrating, it's glossy, it's colored. Well a hint of color but it still shows through which is nice.  So only the application suck, but otherwise it's a good gloss. Oh and it smells so sweet and nice, like candy, starburst!

The packaging on these mask is nice. It's matte and smooth. Plus it is just a simple, clean look.    The mask itself has a funny scent. It doesn't smell like cucumber, I don't know smell like what but I don't like it. The mask is nice though. Doesn't feel itchy on the skin. So it doesn't irritate my face. Not bad, I like it. After 5 minutes, you kind of get used to the scent. 

These makeup wipes are a great cleanser and great for toning too. As it's just absorbed with whatever, but it's very wet, thus making removing very easy. There are 3 of them, but I bought these during their 1 for 1. So I only pick these 2. $2 for each is not bad. Original price is $3.90 I think. Still reasonable, each pack comes with 20 wipes.   Refreshing facial cleansing wipes have a scent of floral powdery. This one is for normal to oily skin. The scent is really refreshing and it does removes makeup except for eye makeup. It can cleanes them but it will hurt the eyes.  Deep cleansing facial cleansing wipes suitable for all skin types. It's a very floral scent. It's quite wet. In fact it's a good cleanser and toner. It will remove all trace of makeup effortlessly. The only problem is that this hurts the eyes. So you cannot use this to remove mascara.  They are a good face wipes. Just for face. The sheets are quite big and will cover the whole face. Plus the best ...

I kind of like the bottle with the stopper. It's so fun. I use about 4/5 drops for the whole face. It smells kind of peculiar. Not in a bad way, it's just very alcoholic scented and mix with something which I can't tell. It does help with spots I feel. As everytime I use it, I feel the area of my face that's quite dark appear lighter. But it's very oily. So I don't like it as much. 

Love the scent. Love Soap & Glory in general. I really want to own more of their product. Now if only money grows on tree. This is a very thick body lotion which I feel works better on a hot warm day. It is a good body lotion but it is so hard to apply on the skin. It just doesn't glide. It takes time for application as I always use this in aircon room. So it always feel like it doesn't melt onto the skin. It doesn't absorb into the skin quite fast, but it will absorb eventually. Maybe like 15 seconds later. It's very moisturising on the skin though. I guess I am too used to watery lotion.  I like that it is in a small container. Plus it is a butter, so it is thicker.  Will repurchase? Yes. 

When something is said to be coral, I imagine that something to be pinkish orange. A color more on the peachy side. But I guess I am wrong as whatever coral is always more on the lightish pinkish reddish tone. It's still beautiful but I am more interested in peachy pink. So what will you call that?  Anyway, Bewitching Coral is beautiful for the summer. In real life it's more of a watermelon pink on my lips. It is smooth to apply, and pigmented when swatch. On my pigmented lips, I have to double layer for the whole lips to be fully covered. It is creamy but doesn't run. So it's quite an easy lipstick. It is also a creme finish but with a hint of shine. So no gloss is needed. Since the color is so bright, it is a good pop of color on otherwise a plain face. It also kind of stain your lips, once the lipstick start to fade off.  The only thing I don't like about it is that it emphasize on your crack lips. The crevasses it kind of obvious. Not sure if it is the color or ...

Hard to apply. Have to use a brush.  Good medium coverage. Color is alright.  Quite a smooth finish overall. It's very hydrating. It will be the perfect bb cream for people with dry skin. Or on cooler months.  I gave to my mom as her skin is not oily. Works better for her. 

I totally forgot about May-Be Daily Posts. Really applaud those who has a full time job (full time parent included) and can still blog regularly with proper pictures and informative substance. So totally not me. Anyway, Happy Mother's Day! They say that you need to have some essential brushes like for powder and blush and of course eyes. Then there are foundation brush, concealer brush and even one for bronzer. Then people will tell you that they love their kabuki brush and you'll be what is that for? Ok maybe that's just me when I heard of kabuki brush a long time ago. I am just attracted to it as they are small and cute. I really don't see what's the different between a kabuki face brush and a face brush, other than the handle. Personally I think that's the only different. It's a denser kind of brush. More stiff. Lip liner, either you use them or you don't. I love having them around, but I don't really use them. This is in the shade Flame which is a close description of the color. An orangy red that represent buring flame. It's the perfect shade for summer. It has tiny specks of glitter which can't be seen unless you really zoom in on the lips. The pencil is automatic so just twist and turn.  The texture of this lipliner is really nice. It's like a skinny moisturizing lipstick. It glides on so well. It will appear quite drying when worn as a lipstick, the whole lips. So pretty as it may, not recommend to use it on its own. A balm over it will be good. Especially an orangy color balm. The color do transfer too, another reason why it won't be as good on its own. But ya as a liner, it is perfect for outlining the lips and to enchance the lipstick. It will be nice with an orange, coral and red lipsticks. 

This is a bb cream in medium shade. It's the right color for me. It's a sheer coverage with a sheen. It's a very smooth cream that is easy to blend into the skin. It has a SPF25 so that's nice. The only thing I don't like about this is that it will leave me oily at the end of the day. I guess it is cause of my moisturizer. So this on its on is much better. But for some reason I'm not liking this as much as I normally like a product.   

I love me some Rimmel Kate lipsticks. They are affordable and really nice to use. It's not the kind of lipstick that feels like butter, but they do glide nicely on the lips. Plus they are so pigmented that one coat is all you need. The scent is also nice. Very comforting in my opinion. I like staining power the most. I mean it is suppose to be a lasting finish, so it's suppose to be long wearing, which it kind of does. Just don't drink without a straw or eat greasy food. It's the color that makes this a stain. Cause darker color tends to stain the lips more.  Yes this is a berry shade which is the perfect color for fall, but I wear this any time of the year. I mean sunny Singapore is forever summer, so there is no right time to wear this. It's a good color anyway. Good for the sun and good for the moon.
