Nuxe samples

I love Nuxe soothing moisturizer, it's just so soothing for a better lack of word. So here I have 2 more moisturizers, a toner and a serum. I've tried the normal 24hr Soothing and Moisturizing Cream , it was good. I like it. Especially for night time. Here I have one that is enrich and one that is light. 24hr Soothing and Moisturizing Rich Cream for de-thirsts and replenishes. It is super thick, doesn't blend as easily as the normal one. I can feel that is quite oily but not extreme. After awhile, it just appear dewy on the face. Surprisingly, it absorbed into the skin eventually. 24hr Soothing and Moisturizing Emulsion for de-thirsts and matifies. It is watery but still quite hard to blend into the skin. It appears the less oily on the skin, but still it is not mattifying. Youth and Radiance Revealing Fluid is a serum. This is one that has a different scent than the rest. I guess cause the packaging is different too. I thought this is a toner, end up it is not a liquid....

MUA Single Shadows

I bought more singles eyeshadow from MUA. I just cant help myself. In my mind I am just imagining all over lid shades. So, I never think to get any greens or bright colors or even highlight colors. The latter which I kind of regret. But I really do have too much shadows, considering I don't use  them as often. I just like to play with them. Anyway, as always with MUA, the price is reasonably inexpensive, the quality is exceptional. So the singles are as what you will expect them -pigmented and smooth. Even without primer, the pigmentation is just wow. With primer, the colors just last longer. I purchased all, if not most of the wearable shades, which consist of dark blues, browns and bronzes. Shade 24 looks quite pink, but it is actually a rosy taupe. At least that's what it appear to me. To be honest, ever since I depot them and put them in a pencil box (cause I am cheap and refuse to get a proper z palette), I hardly use them. It is just a pity considering the colors are so b...

Silkpro Samples Pack

A nice sample pack that gives you the option to choose shampoo between normal and oily hair. It's just so considerate. But Silkpro is telling us that we should have a base shampoo which is the hair fall control , then they give us another sample which is the oil control to use every other day. Follow up by treatment conditioner . Then lastly which they never give us is the hair tonic concentrate. Hair fall - it's just normal to me. Doesn't make my hair oily till the next day, doesn't prevent my hair from falling. Oily - it strips off all moisture from my hair. Not fun. But it's really for oil control. Feels secure using it. However less than 12 hours later, hair is starting to look oily again. Conditioner - pretty much just a conditioner. But they tell us to wait for 5-10 minutes every time using this. So it really can waste time. Overall, it is alright. I enjoy using it. If I have to buy one, I'll probably get the hair fall shampoo, as I feel the oily hair one...

Nu-pore Moisturizing Under Eye Treatment

This is just so huge. See the lady in the packaging, it is not suppose to be huge. Felt cheated. It feels cooling and yet this irritate my skin after 5 minutes. So it really is a waste on me. There are 2 pairs, and I used both of them as I don't want to waste it. I did bought it at iherb . It was only US$.50 as it was a sampler pack. Oh well, no regret.

theBalm How 'bout Them Apples? in Pie

They sell the palette of lip stain/blush with the colors pictured on the packaging. But as a sample piece, they only give you one color to try. When Bellabox showed us what we would be getting months ago, I was extremely excited as I though for sure they will be giving us the whole mini sized palette. As like the Meet Matt palette comes in the original size and the half size one. But come on, it was wishful thinking. There is just no way that they will ever give us good sample, so, oh well. Thankfully I like the mini samples from theBalm. The packaging is cute. As for the product, I really do like it. (But I really wish I could have tried all the shades, hah!) I like it more as a blush than as a lip stain. I find that it doesn't stain my lips as much as I thought it would. Maybe it is just the color Pie that is not that strong. So overall it is a good product and I really do want a full size. But we just have to see.

Butter Gloss in Tiramisu

Everyone that tries this wonder why it takes them so long to try it. And I wonder why everyone love them so much. To me it just average and here is why. To me the price of NXY products in Singapore is not justify. (Ok, so I focus on the time of sales in the States which if I live there will be the only time I buy makeup products.) So you see I can't buy $10 lip butter when I can get it at maybe $5. The product is ok but not amazing. I just have to choose the shade Tiramisu cause that's my favorite dessert. There's a few nude shades and I really do want them all so I can do a comparison. But in the end, the name of the product is my choosing factor. The gloss is comfortable on the lips. I do like it. But I really don't see how this is the best gloss ever. I like the color, thankfully Tiramisu is a good shade for me. It is pigmented but I have to use a mirror to really apply this. It won't go on even. At least for me. I guess my lips are not evenly pigmented, if that ...

Adidas Fruity Rhythm Perfume

Presented by Adidas in 2008, Adidas Fruity Rhythm will tantalize your senses with its black currant and raspberry top notes that usher in the delicate fragrance of freesia and cyclamen heart notes. The floral middle notes blend with its base note of musk, evoking femininity while capturing the strength of women. This fragrance is the embodiment of a strong, beautiful woman; it is the quintessential fragrance for the woman who has it all and strives for more. Did you guess that because it is pink that is why I pick this up? It is quite a strong perfume. At first when sprayed it wasn't fruity. It is not musky or floral, not fruity. I don't know what is, but eventually it just turn mild. I wouldn't call it fruity exactly, but it's a nice masculine but feminine scent. I really don't know how to say it, but it is just not girly but not manly too. It is for female, it won't be a nice scent on guys. Overall not bad for a perfume that is inexpensive. It last quite long ...

Alpha-H Micro Cleanse

I kept seeing this on beauty shops online, so I was really looking forward to try this. I finally got a small sample of it. It is alright, very gentle. The word micro really does tell you that it's micro. Will remove light foundation on face but not mascara. It is quite small but not bad, can last a few. It is also quite minty. Just have that minty scent. It also have the sour smell that I hate. The mint does help in masking the sour scent, but it's not strong enough. So I still can scent the ugh out. That's why I don't like this.

Passion of Polish

Exfoliating body moisturizer in Cheerful Smile. This smells good. It has tiny beads that will melt into the skin. It is suppose to be an exfoliating body lotion, but I can't feel that. The beads are spares and really gentle. It is easy to apply and takes about a minute to sink in. However it will just get quite sticky eventually. So not something I will use again. I guess it is just the humid weather here. I think this will be ok in colder countries.

2Chic Avocado & Olive Oil Ultra-moist

These are for dry and damaged hair. My hair is oily, but again I just don't want to waste them. I like the scent. I feel the conditioner smells stronger. But it doesn't really matter. After drying my hair, the scent is quite soft. The only thing I like about this is that I feel there is less hair drop using this. The bad, my hair feels oily after about 5h. The shampoo is quite a thick shampoo. You just need a little to lather up. Conditioner is soft and easy to rinse out. Overall should be good for anyone with dry hair. Will repurchase? No.

Color Elixir Giant Pen Stick

Can't get hold of Cover Girl, but I heard Maxfactor is practically the same. So here I have a lip crayon in the color Foxy Amber. This doesn't twist up, so you have to manually sharpen it which can be a hassle. Other than that, it is great. I love the color. A really pretty bright pink. It is glossy too. And it kind of stain the lips a little. It is super comfortable to wear on the lips and last quite a long time. I recommend this but so far I can only get in the UK and I can't remember how much it cost.

Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream

Has vitamin C with SPF 50, so that's really good. This has quite a herbal scent. It is semi thick, quite easy to blend and will sink into the skin. It can appear quite grey on some area of my face. For a shade Fair, I can wear this without problem. I just have to really blend. It doesn't seems to give a good coverage. I guess for people with fair skin, it will be a better average coverage. It is an alright bb cream, but I really like the high SPF. Even though it doesn't leave my skin looking matte, I enjoy using this as I feel I am protected from the sun. I wouldn't purchase the full size, but I will gladly purchase the samples for beach vacation.

Mega Volume Mascara

I got a bad batch, I'm sure of it. The mascara is just so dry. So there is practically no product in the brush. And true enough when I dismantle the mascara, all the dry practices are stuck at the bottom of the tube. I do like the brush though. Even though it is big, the bristle is plastic but the combs are tiny and disperse. So it grabs on to the lashes. Since the mascara is useless, at least I can make use of the comb as a lash separator. But I am still disappointed.

MT Honey And Oat Gentle Deep Pore Cleanser

I've been sharing this cleanser with my sister. To be honest I asked her to use this cause it doesn't do much for my skin so I just want it to be finish ASAP. The product, the color, really reminds me of honey but less sticky. The scent is alright. People always talk about MT and how amazing their products are especially for acne prone skin. But seriously, it doesn't help me at all. It doesn't help my sister too. It is not a harsh product; also not a product that I feel can clean your pore. It just feels like it cleans only on the surface. It is good as a makeup remover, which it did said that it removes makeup, but that's all I feel it does. I mean sure my face feels clean after but I feel that it is not a deep cleanser. And I still have the occasional break out so this definitely doesn't do much for my skin.

First Impression: My Melody Good Morning Masks

I have 4 really cute My Melody masks to try. There are all different and who could resist a Sanrio character? Not me. [Orange] Chamomilla Vulgaris & Mint Oil Control Mask: Anti-Acne Let your pore breathe, in the decent scent of chamomile and mint and feels instantly freshen up. Deep moisture, moderate control over oily skin and enlarged pored. Get rid of annoying oily skin and acne breakouts. Now you too can have soft supple skin with balanced sebum. Feel the difference instantly! This is very cooling but it smells kind of weird. Doesn't makes a different to my skin. But after, it leaves my skin really sticky. I don't like it. [Pink] Rose Achillea Whitening Mask: Extra Whitening Indulge in the elegant fragrance of organic Bulgarian Rose. Rich in Vitamin C and Alpine Floral extracts that whitens, moisture and improve dull skin. Now with Elastin and Co Q10 to plump up your skin! Close fitting silk pulp locks in all the moisture and essential ingredient, increases the absorpti...

Rouge Allure Laque 75

Chanel liquid lipstick and yes another red. I think when it comes to Chanel lip product, you kind of have to only choose the color red. Ok that's not true, as I do have others that are not red. This is a muted red. It has hint of brown in it. But really depend on the lighting. The pigmentation is superb. The application is good. The brush kind of make it easy to apply without going over the line. It's precise. It is smooth. It is shiny. It is beautiful and it is pricey. Well I am not the one who buy this, so I don't know the price. I also don't know if it is a full size. But just look at it. Every time I apply this, I always think of candied apple; or Snow White. Just so pretty. The best part is, it doesn't look scary worn in the day. So it's good. Will repurchase? Yup!! In other color? Yes!!

Aloxxi Colourcare Hydrating Shampoo

So this is for preserving color and helps repair damage. I don't have colored hair, I wonder Bellabox kept giving shampoo to me that is not for my hair need. Oh well, this smells exactly like redoxon, those vitamin C supplement that you are suppose to pop into the water and wait for it to fizz up then you can drink it. So l love the smell cause it's nostalgic. The container is nice too. For once I use this quite fast. Usually a 45ml could last me 2 weeks, but I took less than a week to go through this shampoo. It is a nice shampoo, not drying. But as always it's not targeted for oily hair. So I will get oily after 10 hours or something. Plus I find that my hair drop more. As in I find more strands of hair on the floor, so that's not good. I think I really need to stop subscription to beauty boxes, but I always have the thoughts of I don't want to miss out. It's so frustrating.

Epicuren Eye Cream

I kind of like this for it is cooling on the eyes. It doesn't work in a day. With constant wearing, my dark circle starts to disappear so it's like finally something I can see a difference in. However when I have puffy eye (right eye), it will only remove the the puffiness and not the blackness. So that's not good. I like it cause I can see an improvement but bad cause it is not that good. I guess this is more for anti aging, so I shouldn't expect too much. The packaging is not that good too. The pump is nice to have but the product eventually get stuck there. Therefore still not a good enough eye cream for me.

Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush

The first time I watched YouTube, happy booster blush is the bomb. I was dying to have one. Thanks to iherb I manage to buy one. It is quite pricey (US$11.50) comparing to other drugstore brands, so I decided to just get one in the shade Natural . I don't know why it is call mood boosting as I only feel happy seeing the blush. I just love the hearts! Using the blush doesn't change my mood. Except the glow, that works cause the blush is quite shimmery. It is quite a light blush. You can see it from the swatch, but on the cheeks, it hardly shows. It really appear quite natural and just give a glow. It is nice for days you don't want to bother much, so it is easy to apply and wont make you look like a clown. Overall, I don't think it is really worth the money for something you cant really see. Maybe it will be better on others who have lighter skin tone.

LipFusion Objects of Desire Micro Collagen Lip Plump Color Shine

I fell in love with the packaging. This is in the color Posh, which is a pretty magenta pink with purple duo chrome with sparkles. It is not really opaque but it will shows on the lips. The plumping effect is not so strong. It is really more of a gloss than a lip plumper. It is just so glossy that it makes your lips look big and sexy. It is not sticky and comfortable to wear on the lips. At first I was a bit put off cause the color is not opaque then I realize my lips have a nice pinky sheen to it. So ya the more I use it the more I like it. Plus it has a really nice scent to it, very sweet very gummy like. I think the price is quite alright, I really can't remember how much I bought it for, should be around $20 from strawberrynet . If only they have affiliation. Anyway, I just check that it was on sale for $19, original price $48.50 and right now new customer will get 5% plus a free gift which LipFusion is one of the option. That just makes me quite angry at myself. But my lost yo...

Dr. Jart Bounce Beauty Balm

Right, the beauty trend to try is the bounce BB cream. I am a few months behind, but here it is. So this is only 2g with SPF30, but I seriously only used this up by day number 10. I took 10 days to finish it! Just goes to show how small my face is. I usually use a thin layer of this, but there are days when I apply 2. The sample size is kind of cute, but not a good product to travel with. Once you tear it off, it will be expose with no way of closing it back. Even though the cream is quite solidify so it won't easily "melt" away. I put the sponge (I like the sponge very much, but too small) on top of the net, which is the sieve, and it will be just on top of it and won't budge. So maybe it can be put into a makeup bag without making a mess. I don't dare to try the theory though. Anyway ya, for the sample, it is just a small sieve that separate the cream and the sponge. Quite fun to play with. To use, you just dab the sponge onto the net and the product with go thr...
