MAC Mattene Lipstick in Eden Rouge

Such a smooth lipstick, like butter that glides on easily on the lips. Loving my borrowed MAC lipstick from my mom. People love MAC lipsticks, I don't as much. I do love the colors, maybe I'm just not trying enough. Anyway, not much people talk about this MAC lipstick. Usually it is the bullet lipstick they talk about. I don't know why, cause I absolutely love this. It is smooth, glide on easily, feels exactly like applying butter in a good way. The only bad thing about this is I need to use a lip liner. Most red need a lip liner anyway. As it is call Mattene lipstick, I kind of expect it to be matte, but it is not exactly. It has a little shine. Eden Rouge is a red with a magenta undertone. But in different lighting and surroundings, the color kind of differ. Still pretty in any color. I guess cause it suits me. Even though it is more of a warm red, despite the magenta undertone. Unless of course it is not magenta undertone and my eyes are just plain wrong. Then again, I s...

Tropical Fruit

After lots of amazing reviews on YouTube, I finally get my hands on Michael Todd. Is it as amazing? No. I finished this scrub, cause for some reason I always pour out more than necessary. It is quite a watery texture. Is like the scrub has been contaminated with water. Anyway, the scent is kind of weird too. It is tropical, and I'm sure some people will like it, but I just can't stand it. I tried to like it, but I failed. The scrub itself is not harsh but it's quite chunky I guess. I feel it is more of a cleanser with particles than an actually scrub. It just doesn't do such a great job as other scrubs I tried. I also have a feeling that this break me out. But I just can't be sure. So overall I am not a fan.

Beauty Rush Shadow

I wrote a really long post on this beauty rush's shadow. Then for some reason, WP decided to hate me. I just can't bring myself to repeat myself. So I will just keep this short. This is in the shade Flower Girl, a lilac, pink eyeshadow. It can be use wet or dry. Swatch is when dry. So imagine how intense it will be when applied wet. It can be use with a light hand and sheer out to use as a highlight. Oh it is a domed shadow too, so not quite ideal to depot. Not the smoothest shadow out there, but the texture is that of the domed pressed powder. So not surprising there. Will repurchase? No. Too pricey (US$7.5) In other color? No.

Chantecaille just skin

Chantecaille just skin anti-smog tinted moisturizer comes with SPF 15. - nude - easy to blend - light to medium coverage I have no idea why I put nude, but there it was. I guess the color is nude, like it matches my skin really well. I like the packaging as the tube has a good control of the amount to dispose of the cream. So you won't be wasting product. It is not watery, not thick also. It blends easily. It feels comfortable on the skin. It gives a dewy finish. Eventually I can see that my face appears oily. However I don't feel it. It doesn't break me out which is nice. As a tinted moisturizer, I sometimes feel lazy to moisturize before hand. So on those lazy days, this is perfect for me.

SilkyGirl Long-Wearing Lipliner

I thought I saw this for $2.80. End up it was $8.90. I wanted to cancel but I didn't know until I saw the receipt. Oh well, at least it is retractable so that's nice. And the color of in 01 Nude, which can be use for anything. I was wrong. This is so drying. It applies alright, but when I try to shade in all my lips, it is just so flaky. Even under a balm, it doesn't help. I guess that's why it is long wearing. The pencil kind of broke on me. So that's like a dollar gone just like that by being broken. The worse is that it still allow my lipstick to bleed. What's the point then? The color is quite dark for a nude. It is alright for me as my lips are pigmented. It is made in Germany so that is nice. And the more I use it, the more it gets better. I guess the lead inside that's not really expose to air is less drying. But it still doesn't do its job. I am not gonna regret but next time I would not buy anymore.

Mario Badescu Acne Facial Cleanser & Special Cucumber Lotion

I've been trying a lot of skincare products and my face hates me for it. It has been breaking out pretty badly. My forehead, chin and cheeks. Well that's pretty much the whole face. Plus it is not one or two, it's really a lot. So it was the perfect time to try this acne facial cleanser. I read online that this is great to use with the special cucumber lotion. So I try them, and more often than not, I don't bother with the toner. The result? Amazing! After a week, my skin gets so much better. And I only use this as the only different product in my routine, so I know it is really the cleanser that's doing the magic. The toner is nice, but I don't see it doing anything. It just a nice clean fresh scented toner. But it really is just normal, nothing special about it. The acne facial cleanser on the other hand is really amazing. It smells clean, and it just looks so boring, but it really cleans my face. Most of the time, I'll wipe off my makeup first before wash...

Kiehl's Ultra Light Daily UV Defense

The weather has been such a killer. Everyone know how crazy the sun is during summer. But Singapore has been raining quite a lot last year, so this time the sun is really extra hot. It dies rain so suddenly too, but the contrast of the sun is just so ugh. So I am glad to have Kiehl's sunblock with SPF50. I feel so much better using this in the morning whenever I am leaving the house. The sunblock is easy to apply. It dries quite fast, so you can start with foundation or primer right after. It will leave my skin oily after a long while, so for the first few hours it works well. I like it but I still think I prefer my Clarins , as I feel it controls oil better. I used not to like very much, but I learn to love it. So maybe the Kiehl's will be the same. Will repurchase? Still prefer Clarins, but the SPF in this is good.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis a Levres Glossy Stain

I just have to. It is so nice. I love it. Love how easy it is to apply this. I got the color 5. It's like a dark mauve. A bit more red tone. It is pigmented and glossy. The best part is that it will stain the lips. So I can just wear this the whole day. As the colors start to wear off, it is no longer shiny but the color still linger. I also love the cute packaging. The price not so much. You got have to get use the texture of the brush as that is the only thing different about this as compare to other glosses or liquid lipstick. Will repurchase? No, if I have some extra cash then maybe. In other color? Yes in other color(s).

CK Velvet Blush

Couldn't resist a berry blush. This is in the shade Heather Silk. Not the smoothest blush around, but it is pigmented. The picture is with flash, so it appears more fuchsia. I real life it is a light maroon berry, just like the swatch color. Anyway, it can be blended out easily and will appear more sweet. It is alright, but for the price tag, I don't think is is worth. Plus it smells of crayola. Gonna admit I do love the smell, cause it is quite nostalgic. But unless you put near to your nose, you can't scent it. The packing is sleek. Acrylic, which a lot of cheaper brands using, like Vivo. It is sturdy enough, but I wouldn't bring it around. The clasp just doesn't seems to be quite secure. If this cost $5 or come in a better packaging than maybe I can recommend it, but for now, it is not that great. Will repurchase? No. Other shades? Maybe.

My Scheming Bamboo Charcoal & Cryste Marine Whitening Double Lifting Mask

I like these mask as it covers my neck too. It is a tad big, but the fit is quite nice cause if the security from the loops of the ears and neck. The mask has this rhombus pattern on it, so it's nice. I mean I don't think it matters, but I just like seeing pattern than just a plain white mask. So this kind of smell weird. It's not so off putting, but I don't like the scent of it. I manage to use all 5 masks from the box, so that count for something? Nah. It's a cooling mask, refreshing, but not for under the eyes. I don't know why it doesn't feel cool under the eyes. Weird huh. So it is a hydrate, repair and brighten mask, and it hydrates but I am not sure about the other 2 claims. I also can really only use this mask for the 15 minutes they say to, cause after that it always itches me. Like all I want to do is scratch my face. But I kept forgetting, that's why I did end up using all the 5 masks. So this is a no for me. I really should put some kind of i...

Huile Prodigieuse Oil

â—Š Made my whole hand glittery. â—Š Good for party night. â—Š Smells good. Like perfume but more natural. More spa like. More oil base type. Hard to explain but it smell rich. The first time I received it I don't think it has a scent. So it's totally different from the first impression. On the hair it's not so nice for me cause I feel greasy already. On the skin, at first it feels quite greasy but it goes away. However the glitters will stay and you just look awesome. I guess it's moisturizing but who cares about moisture if you can look sparkly all over.

Rimmel Glameyes quad

I kept picking up eyeshadow for black smokey looks, but I always don't use them. I prefer brown smokey eyes anyway. So I picked this up, cause I was attracted to the colors. This is in Smokey Noir. The pigmentation is alright. The darkest color is not that black. It is more of a dark grey. And also not that pigmented. I do like the silver color. It just turn up more metallic than in the pan. So its a good surprise. The shadows are alright. It can be blend. I have to use a primer if not the colors kind of become one on the lid. It is a good quad if you want smokey eyes but without it looking so black. But truth to be told, with hooded eyes, you cant really tell how dark is the smokey eyes. It just seems dark no matter what. Plus usual most people will use eyeliner so that's where the black will appear from. So overall, not a bad quad. But I prefer my other shadows.

Brown Eyeliners

I kind of given up on black eyeliners. I mean I rarely wear eyeliner anyway, but when I do it will be brown. I was trying both Vivo and MUA brown eyeliners. Both are okay, for the price you really cannot expect more. MUA is darker, it is a rich dark brown. While Vivo is a softer chocolate color. Both have their purpose and I do like them the same. MUA I like cause of the sharpener on the packaging, so it's easy to sharpen whenever needed. Vivo has a smudger, so it's nice for softening the look. Both do smudge, and I don't really think they settle and set. I always find them transferring. Then again, I am not patient. However I find that using a primer really helps to make it stay in place. So I'll prime the whole lid then draw the line as close to my lash line as possible, rub away the one that transfer, then I'm good to go. Of course it doesn't last the whole day, but I really do think they are decent enough for newbies like me.

Shampoo, tried & tested 2

Aqua Acid Shampoo is in a huge bottle and takes forever to finish. It's good if you are on a budget. The shampoo itself is nice. It lathers well and if you leave it on longer it's quite minty. It is ok, but leaves my hair oily if I use twice in a row. So I will just use it once in awhile. It's just nice to break away and wash your hair with a different kind of shampoo. There will always be Herbal Essences in my shower. My sister use this and it's the Smooth Lovin' . It smells great just as with all Herbal Essences. But again it leaves my hair oily. I cant even use this for a day. Gatsby Perfect Clear Shampoo is just a clarifying. It has the green apple scent which is nice. It's great at getting product off hair, like wax or those crisp sprayed hair. I will only use it for that purpose. It's more for people who use wax on daily basis. Beaua Essential Oil Fragrance Shampoo is quite nice. It's a clear shampoo that's smells of something of a light min...

Orange Butter Creamy Shower Soap

Smells of orange but it's not strong. Not very moisturizing. Doesn't lather on very well too. Doesn't leave on impression for me.

Eslor the art of beauty samples

Soothing refiner & cleanser It is quite soothing and calming. It's a good cleanser, not thick. I quite like it. Replenishing scrub It's kind of thick, like a paste. They say to add a couple drop of water, but I find that it doesn't bond very well. It just crumble away when I try to wash my face. The feeling when using this is like rubbing sandpaper. Not in a harsh way, but when you just curios how sandpaper feels on the skin, so you just rub it gently on the skin. Yup, it feels that way - rough. If you use warm water, the paste becomes warm. So when you rub your hands, it warm up. That is the only nice thing about this. Soothing cream This is also quite thick. It is hard to apply to the face. And I feel that this breaks me out. I am not sure if this is the culprit but it seems like it. It is not soothing at all. And I always have this thought that I am applying glue onto my face. I guess cause the scent reminds me of glue. Plus my face is quite oily after using this. No...

MUA Powder

I have 2 MUA powder in shades 1 and 2. Shade 1 is too light for me. Shade 2 is kind of too. It doesn't really do anything to me. It's just a powder but doesn't cover, doesn't mattify, so I don't know what it is for. Maybe if I do get the right shade then at least it can be used to cover. But I also find that it doesn't last. So ya, even though it is cheap, doesn't do anything for me.
