The Versatile Blogger Award

Thank you to the lovely Kazz1n for tagging me. Do check out her blog. Now, I don't really do any other posts except for reviews to products I've use, I thought it will be rude not to do this tag. I started this blog for almost a year, and never really think to follow or get any followers. I am just using this blog to get the memories of the product out of the way if that make sense. So I am kind of slow getting into the wp community. There are just way too many awesome nice people on the internet. So I am thankful for everyone who take their time reading my blog, liking and commenting on the posts. Thank you for the follow too. I never realise how much it actually mean to me. You all have been so kind and encouraging. Even though my posts are relatively boring and my vocabulary is limited, you guys still bother to see it. Let me rant a little, or maybe a lot. When you reach your 20s and life just pass you by, you really can get lost in translation. I know I did, I mean I am. E...

Lancôme visionnaire

On the day my mom gave me this bottle, I got the week trial samples. Anyway, it was for Genifique , but the concentrated version and Visionnaire. You are suppose to use Genifique first, follow by Visionnaire. Step 1: Genifique youth activator - Boosts skin radiance - Evens skin tone - Improves overall skin appearance Step 2: Visionnaire advanced skin corrector - Corrects wrinkles - Tightens pores - Evens skin texture I tried by using only Visionnaire and using both. While I like Genifique, I find that Visionnaire a little too rich. It is thicker and more concentrated, leaving my skin kind of oily. It doesn't really do anything for my skin that I notice after a week use. Just more moisture but as I said its too rich. Maybe in colder climate, when I need the extra moisture then this will be useful. Using both together make Visionnaire blend easier. That's the only thing I find. Where it claim to tighten pores, I don't see a difference. It does leave skin smooth, so it does ev...

Majolica Majorca lash expander frame plus and more blue stuff

This is a blue mascara. I've been looking for some colored mascara for a while. I used to love ZA blue mascara. It has the perfect hint of blue, but it wasn't a baby blue, pastel color, it's a navy blue actually. I just cannot find it anymore. So when I see this and it's on sale (of course, I buy everything on sale), I just had to get it.

Cuticle massage cream

There is so much mix review about this. Some say it is drying. Some say it is the best. Well, when I first open this, it was so waxy. I wonder if it was right. It was just so sticky. But eventually it will be absorb into the skin and all is well. I still have dry hands with bad cuticle. But I do not use this religiously, so maybe that's the problem. I am also always using my hand, so I do not like to put this on. Some lotion dry fast, that I don't mind so much. This not so quick. With this, your fingers felt soft and smooth but with a waxy feel. It just doesn't feel natural. That's what I don't like bout it. Plus the packaging is not so user friendly. I have long fingernails, so the cream always got stuck under the nails. It can be hard to take the cream out from the container. Another thing, at first the smell is so nice. Apricot and it just smell good. But eventually, it smell more chemical like. Good thing it is not that strong. I have mix feelings about this.

MUA shade 19 - matt

A matte shadow, I really want one, and I can't afford to buy the Lorac Pro palette. NYX matte palette is really expensive here too. (The problem with me is I like to compare prices between countries, so of course I always find things more expensive here in Singapore) So I got one from MUA. Even though its not a palette, but I guess it will just have to do. Its quite hard actually to find matte shadows in Singapore. Any idea where I can get not crazy expensive matte shadows? Just a plain expresso brown color in my opinion, a really good crease color. You can also use it for your brows. As you can see, the color can be build up. It is ok in term of pigmentation. Not the most opaque but it isn't bad. The shadow is really smooth and since its only £1, it's worth it.

ModelCo shine ultra lipgloss

So I got mine in Strip Tease. It is a pretty apricot color, rather sheer and has tiny specks of glitter dust which can't really be seen. It has this smell which I can't describe. It is not bad, but I just would like to know what does it smell like. Anyone know? As you can see, it's really sticky when you take it out from the tube. Applied on the lips though, it's just like normal lip gloss. Sometimes it is fine, other times it is quite tacky. So not really loving the formula there. This is the color comparison to my EL pure color. From the tube, Strip Tease actually looks nicer. When swatch, Electric Ginger is better. The color pigmentation is better, smell nicer, and the glitter show up more. The only thing I like is the packaging, and that is the mirror attached to it. It's just really practical for when you don't have a mirror nearby. This is what it looks like on the lips. It's just basically a clear lip gloss that has tiny glitter that can't be seen...

Revlon lip butter in Sugar Plum

I love lip butter. I still love the way Revlon lip butter feels on my lip. It is just nice. Smooth and moisturizing. Glossy and pretty pigmented. It gives color without being as intimidating as lipstick. So this is in shade sugar plum. The color is like pink truffle but it has mauve in it. A bit purple tone, well it is plum, and as you all know plum is in that tone. I know the picture suck, but if you try and stare at it, you can see the purple shade in there. Just me? Oh well. It transfer onto my lip pretty well. The color, really I will describe it as sugary plum. Nude, brown, red undertone with a hint of plum.

TBS lipscuff

I have another lip scrub. I fell in love with the smell of mint. This is in lipstick form so it's really easy to apply. Plus it's not so soft. It's like butter after you take it out from the fridge, so it's firm but easily transfer onto the lips. It is only 2.5g or 0.08oz and its made in the USA. It cost S$19.90, so it's really steep. It works wonder. I apply it like a lipstick, then use my fingers to scrub it further. I have to really use a generous amount, so in the end, I feel like I use a lot of it for each use. I really love it though, but I don't think I'll ever repurchase it, unless its like 75% off or something.

Lancôme Génifique youth activator

SMU had their freshman camp last August?, and they gave this pamphlet for Lancôme serum sample collected at any Lancôme counter. So being a sample junkie, I dash out to collect them. I was with a friend and the first counter we went to, gave me back the pamphlet. But she took down my contact and details. Then we went to Isetan at Lido, this time Huimin took the sample. The SA took away the pamphlet though, so no chance for another friend to collect them. The sample was for a week trial, and Huimin took a couple and gave me the rest. I finally had a chance to use them after so long. I do realized I have no shame, but hey, my skin is weird and I have not find any HG product, so samples are the way to go. The more you use it, the better the results. There are 7 reasons for you to try it . Day 1: 100% of Singaporean women agree Genefique is easily absorbed into the skin. Yes, I agree too. Day 2: Genefique boosts the efficacy of your following skin care products. Does it? I can't real...

Peel-off mask 60g Clings firmly to pore-clogging excess sebum, persistent blackheads, and whiteheads, to remove impurities. A T-zone pack for deep-cleansing your pores. How to: After cleansing the face, spread this mask over the nose, chin and forehead, leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, and peel off after it has dried completely.

May Bellabox

My Bellabox for May came on the 10th. It was themed Ready for Cannes. I really like the little sticker that hold the wrapper together These are all the things I got this month. 5 + 2 bonus items. When I first open the box, I was quite shocked to get 7 stuff. I love it, the more the merrier, but I guess the value of each product should be less huh. I also finally got a makeup item, sort of. Do lipgloss count as makeup?

ZA skin beauty liquid foundation

This is a liquid foundation, one of the first few foundation I had. It doesn't come in many shade, so I just choose the medium one. My skin used to be so clear and smooth, I do not need any coverage. But now, it's a whole new world. My adult skin is one big giant mess. Once you think the pimple is gone, it will be that time of the month, and another will pop up. It's just a never ending cycle. Plus my pores are getting worse. So what used to be a thick full coverage for my skin, is now a thin coverage. Which is why I always remember this as a thick coverage foundation until I tried it again recently. It goes on thin. Easy to blend. A true liquid foundation. Not much coverage but enough to gives you a touch of made-up on those lazy days. Probably lighter than tinted moisturizer. I know it's old and I'm suppose to throw away old foundation. But this doesn't smell funny. It isn't separated. Doesn't have weird coloring. So I think I still can use it as it do...

Obagi healthy skin protection

This is just a sunblock. I don't see what's so special about it. You can buy cheaper sunscreen out there. I mean to be honest, it does leave your skin matte if apply in a right amount. But I always tend to use more than needed. I guess I like to slather it on. So it always give me a white film on my face. Furthermore, the matte doesn't last very long. I feel that my face goes back to oily really quickly. But I know lots of people loves this. If its not cause of the price, I'll be more accepting to this product.

Maybelline gel eyeliner

I cave in and bought myself some gel eyeliner. Maybelline was on sale, so why not? Little do I realized, Essence has one that is cheaper and just as good. I still do not know how to wear eyeliner. Hooded eyes doesn't help either. Sure there are some days when I'm lucky and I can apply them with little problem. Most of the time though, I just don't want the risk of destroying the eyeshadow on my lids. Nevertheless a beauty junkie need all kind of make up. So I decided to go all out and choose the black. Even though now I think about it, the brown will be better. It's just a normal gel container. Really small and cute. Come with a brush that I actually like. It glides on easily. Pretty pigmented. Not the blackest I've seen, but it's still dark. Lightly glide on and when pressed on. As you can see, it smudge. That's really sad. On the eyes it's pretty smudged proof. As in it doesn't run. But I never rub my eyes, so I wouldn't know. I never really we...

Vaseline healthy white perfect 10

I got this from Cozycot . They made you take some survey and gave you this whitening and anti-aging lotion to try out. It was their new body lotion back then. Two years ago, I think.

Lip boom in Doin' Good

People from the UK will know who Alexandra Burke is. In fact, if you watch the X Factor, you'll know who she is. But I don't watch reality shows, so I got this not cause of her but I just wanted a matte lipstick. I got mine in Doin' Good. It's a pretty light orange/brown.

Gatsby oil control film

So I have here 2 Gatsby oil control film. One is oil clear sheet and another is powdered oil clear paper. As you can see the difference is that one is powdered. I personally like the powdered one better as it can be use as a touch up. The oil clear one is basically just like the clean and clear one except its black in color. No major difference between the two. The packaging of the two Gatsby one is rather different. Again I like the powdered one better. So I probably will just buy the powdered one when I ran out. I feel more refresh and clean using that. Well, cause you'll be powdered and new again.
