The Stuff I'd Used

Pink truffle is my absolute favorite now. I couldn't find this color in Singapore. I am so glad I bought this when I was in Jakarta. I love this so much. First its lip butter, I love that. Second the color is lovely. Just like the barely nude , only lighter.  It is darker than the silky girl Naked , more brown. So I guess it's in between. Easy to wear with anything. For day or night. Plus it is very moisturizing. I'm in love!

I was given this when my aunt came back from Japan. She used it there as she forgot to bring eye shadow. Anyway, it is brown, so it is convenient for me to use. It is opaque and has shimmer. Most of the time, I just use the darkest for night time. The lighter brown will be use in the afternoon. Or I will use the darkest brown as an eyeliner. The top and bottom eye. Most of the time, I will be using this shadow at night. It is just so sparkly. I will use all 3 colors and my eyes are all made up. With the highlighter, if I want my eyes to be the main focus. But I find, under the dark night light, especially in clubs, you cant really see the eye shadow colors. Just the sparkles. The picture here doesn't do any justice. I just swipe a light color on my hand, and it doesn't capture the color opacity. I just love this shadow. But sometime you just want to try out with new things.

This blush was my mom's. And she gave it to me as it matches my skin tone better. I never use to wear blush until this. I used to find them redundant but now I can't live without it. The color is a peachy coral. The color is more accurate from the mirror reflection. See how bright the color is. But when apply with a puffy blush brush, the color pay off is not that much. In fact it is just nice to give a bit of color to my cheek. The brush that came with the case gives off more color, so you have to blend blend blend. I rather use my MAC 129se. Nevertheless, the color is just brilliant on me. The formula lasted for a long time on my cheek. Easy to blend and gives off a natural glow. I don't think they sell this anymore, but there are other version that is pretty similar. I cannot really compare, as I never really take note on other blusher. Since this suit me, should I even be trying others? Maybe I just might.

The only coral lipstick I have. The perfect summer color. With a shimmer, bright and young. It isn't as moisturizing as it should be, but I love the color. Hot sunny Singapore, its summer 90% of the year, so this is a color you want and need to have.

Silky cream foundation in l10. I have the original silky cream foundation and the sample. The original is bulky while the latter is nice and small. The foundation has a makeup scent, I don't know how to put it in words, but it has that strong foundation powdery perfumery smell. It isn't repulsive, but I know of people who wouldn't like the smell. Anyway, this foundation is shade I10. Smooth and thick, this give the full coverage you need for any occasion. It doesn't have SPF, so it's perfect for night time use and when you want to take pictures. It leaves skin smooth as a canvas to paint your face with shadows and blush. It is thick though, so a small amount is enough to cover the entire face.

Majolica Majorca's jeweling eyes in PK785 is a pretty feminine eye shadows. I pretty much ignore the highlight and darker pink. Most of the time I just use the dark brown. It is such a pretty color. Not dark, but it gives some color to your eyes. Natural, as I don't use primer, and eventually in a few hours it will fade away. So, the color is just nice for a little something instead of nothing. Finally see the swatch on my hand, I think I have been using the color wrong. The darker pink is so much nicer than the lighter one. I like this shadow. Simple and shimmery. However it is not so loud, I guess it will be if using primer. I never tried that before. So this jeweling eyes is perfect for day or night.

Red earth lipstick in PK396 is the first ever red lipstick I got. It isn't that red, but on my lips it looked red. It has a shimmer thus making looks more like a lip gloss. This is the one lipstick that I can apply and make my whole looks more glam. I do not have to put on anything on my face, just this baby and I still look made up. This is definitely one of the classier normal lipstick out there. It has that old school lipstick smell. I feel so nostalgic putting it on. Nothing much to say, other than its a normal hustle free product you can ever have.

The first ever eyeliners. My mom bought this for me when I started learning how to put on make up. I got one is 05 which is the blue, and 23 the lilac. 23 is such a pretty color but a pain to put on. You have to keep rubbing it on your waterline for ages to see the color. The blue is so much better. Using this is like using crayon, that easy to transfer the color onto your skin. If you see the first box of the picture, it is actually an eyeliner by LA girl . In fact I prefer this when it comes to application as it much more smoother than LA girl. The color is also more vibrant. Compare them, LA girl has more of  the violet hues. I have no idea where to get Midie though. And it has been so many years ago that this was given to my possession. I just don't really use them I guess.

See the color. Spectra blue! I bought it for $5, and its easy to apply. I always thought a little color never hurt anyone. So I got this, but nowadays I just stay neutral with my eye make up, so this baby has been left on the counter for a good while now. What so great about it other than the price tag? (I do realize things in Singapore are not cheap. In US you can get make up for a dollar) The liner gives me an everyday look without looking boring. It isn't strong enough to pull off a night time make up, but for day its pretty alright.

Gives my cheek the brown coloring it need. So brown that people thought there was dirt on my face. I have not master the use of bronzer yet. But with just a light dust onto my face, it already gives me the brown shade, so I guess it is pigmented. Too strong in fact. That beginners like me should find a lighter bronzer to practice on.

Silkygirl is one of the cheapest brand of make up you can find in Singapore, a trusted one that is. Since after sale, the lipstick cost about $6, I decided to just grab it (after testing a bunch of colors). The tester when applied is smooth. It is really rich in moisture. Naked as its name claim, it gives a nude, slightly brown, slightly orange-pink color on my lips. So the more layer you apply the darker it gets, thus no longer nude nor naked. It become another colored lipstick. It matches with the browns, tans and cream color clothes you wear. Since the jacket I bring out most of the time is cream, for any last minute in a hurry cant put so much make up on, I will use this lipstick. Plus it covered up my crack lip, so I'm really impress. I like this, but I am not in love with it. As I prefer the texture of lip butter. So this is the color after two hours of used. As you can see, touch up is needed. But it still have a hint of color on my lips, so it wasn't bad.

I got this in Brunette. Easy to apply. You do not need much, and it will fully color your brows. It has two shades, a lighter one is perfect for day look. For thicker more define looking brows, you can always apply the darker shade. I love how this come with the eyebrows gel.  You can always groom the brows with it. It does its job by keeping the hair in place. The angle brush is not soft. I do not know if it was suppose to be, but I think not. Plus there is a spoolie that can be use to brush the brows.

Pure color 46 barely nude creme. I was given this lipstick by my aunt. When I saw the color for the first time, I thought to myself that I will not be wearing this color. It is just brown. Dark at that. Look more like a fig color than a nude. Some more the packaging can claim that it is barely nude. So it gave me the impression that it is suppose to be nude but barely. How can the brown be barely? Turn out I was wrong. If there is one color that compliment you the most, this would be it. It was just the perfect shade for me. I was transformed into the person I was meant to be. That goes to show you shouldn't judge things by its appearance. I was left with barely a centimeter of this lipstick. And I have no idea why I have not try to find this in the stores. I guess I will be soon, but I do want to try with other lipsticks and colors. So we shall see.
